This Vehicle has been SOLD!

Yep. The time of the Rodeo has drawn to a close. I had to sell this vehicle because ultimately it was costing too much to commute, and I couldn't afford to buy a house while sinking $100 a week into the car. It didn't help matters either that I was putting near 3000 miles a month on the truck. In the end, I sold it for a paltry $10,500. A full $6500 less than my original asking price. I hear its abused greatly now, but oh well. I started the trend, and took an Isuzu Rodeo to places nobody else ever has. It was quite an experience!

In case you haven't noticed, I really like my Isuzu Rodeo. As a matter of fact, I rate the truck as an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale. Why not a 10, you ask? Well, that would be for something extremely expensive, like a hummer. Not a big deal mind you.

So, What's In It?

Well, glad you asked. I purchased my latest truck from Scott Isuzu in August of 1994. It was considered a fully loaded S model, 4WD, and in Radiant Red. It came from the factory with:

Now I just couldn't leave a perfectly good vehicle stock. As we all know, stock vehicles SUCK! So I have discreetly made the following modifications:

I am getting fairly close to completing my truck, but there are still a couple of extras I would like:

One of these days, I might also like to get a winch, and replace the limited slip differential with a locker. However, since the main reason I bought this truck was to launch off the beaches at the local lakes, these may not be necessary.

My experience with the truck are all positive. It has done exceptionally well. I have driven the Crown King Trail four times, and every time it made it without hiccup or complaint. The last time I did the trail was with the new Calmini suspension lift. I was thoroughly impressed with the way the truck would walk through sections that it would have difficulty with before. Very impressive!

One of the ways I keep my truck in tip-top shape is by only using synthetic motor oil. Do your car a favor, and start using synthetic also! I change mine every 3500 miles, and it only costs me $25 to do it myself. So instead of paying someone else, put that extra money to good use and help preserve your engine.
