Just Mini-Truckin

Welcome to Dan's center for custom trucks on the Internet. I haven't found very many pages that talk about custom trucks, so this may very well be a first. If you know of other sources, don't hesitate to E-mail me!

My last truck was a 1989 Isuzu standard bed 2wd pickup. It has won a total of eleven trophies, plus been in two magazines! (Sport Truck and Mini-Truckin.) I was very proud of this truck, but unfortunately, once I got into jet skiing, I decided that a lowered truck did not make a very good tow vehicle. Oh well. At least I can remember her through these pages. Check out this list of modifications I made:

• Lowered eight inches in the rear. Eight inches in the front.
• Full four wheel air shocks for a ride height adjustment of three inches.
• Center console complete with air hook-ups and air guages.
• On-board air compressor.
• Suicide hood.
• Engine fully detailed - painted and hoses replaced with braided steel.
• Prime polished aluminum 15x7 swept & fluted three spoke rims.
• 195/50 r 15 Road Hugger low profile tires.
• Chrome wheel well molding.
• Custom graphics.
• Stillen ground effects - bumper also painted to match body color.
• Hood bra by Designer Fabricators.
• Chrome tailgate skin and chrome tail gate handle.
• Chrome brake lights.
• Stockland Shell with aftermarket blazer windows.
• Stainless steel shell wing.
• Pontiac Sunbird bucket seats, re-done in black and gray.
• Interior fully carpeted and re-dyed to gray.
• Sunroof.
• Convertible top by AIM.
• Rag over hard top done by Street Beat.
• Free flow exhaust, pencil tip pipe.
• Fully carpeted bed kit:
  • 4" television.
  • VCR.
  • Super Nintendo Entertainment system.
  • Bench seat.
  • Neon lighting.
  • Cupholders, storage pockets, etc.
• Custom Stereo:
  • Pioneer DEH-770 remote control CD player.
  • Pioneer 11 band graphic equalizer.
  • Hi-Fonics Olympus four channel amplifier.
  • Orion 4" mids, Orion 1 1/2 inch tweeters.
  • Four Gefco 10" DVC sub woofers in a 1st order box.
  • Blow through configuration - woofers hidden from site.
  • TV/VCR hooked up through stereo.
  • Total power, more than 1000 watts!
• Neon lighting.
• After market bump stops, smoothed frame in rear.
• Hidden hitch, flip up license plate.
• Tinted windows.

So, why did you get rid of it Dan? Well, like I was saying, I couldn't tow my jet ski very well with this truck. Most of the places I go to, I don't get to launch on pavement, but off a beach. In a lowered truck, this is next to impossible, so that is why I picked up a 4x4.
