the new rink - if it ever happens!

Minimum Specifications for an International Standard Ice Rink

Minimum requirements for Internationals: 2 60x30 metre ice pads, 5,000 seating (for concerts this would rise to 6,000 + by using part of the ice surface itself, giving its multi use a larger audience capacity than the Albert Hall.)

Many ancillary facilities for competitions, concerts etc. Bars restaurant, gym, dance studio, indoor sports track, integral TV Broadcasting Studio, VIP Lounge etc.

Schools use Buses, so there must be a bus park as well as a huge car park underneath the building , however skaters average age is 14yrs, so its good that it must be in walking distance to the station, A316 and for buses to the whole of West London.

It should not cause congestion to central Richmond but elevate immediate surrounding area architecturally and encourage the reopening of local shops, in short it ahould breathe life into Richmond and leave the Town to thrive.

Power for rink - Gas - half the running costs of electricity and a fabulous long term advertisement for B. Gas - profit too!
