Chamberlin Family Tree

Our line of the Chamberlins can be traced back to Henry Chamberlain, who migrated with his wife Jane, his mother and son to Hull in present day Massachusetts in 1638 aboard the ship Diligent.

From Hull, the family's westward migration took them to Colchester, CT, Williamstown, MA, then through New York to Illinois, Minnesota and South Dakota.

Chamberlins fought in the Revolutionary War, the Civil War and both World Wars. A Chamberlin went off to seek his fortune in the California Gold Rush and another was a victim of a counterfeiter in the 1700s.

The family name has seen a variety of spellings: Chamberlain, Chamberlin, Chamberling, and Chamberland.

Some of the common given names in the line include Henry, William, Nathaniel, Thomas and Charles.

Here is a descendancy listing my Chamberlin Line. The links on this line will take you to more detailed information about the individuals and others of that generation.
