~ Day Seven ~

The "pacer wires" were removed this morning. (one had already fallen out) We dressed Timmy & just visited with others until we had the "go ahead" to leave. Nobody had seen Timothy as a child~ only as the patient. They were all excited to see how well he was doing. He was so sweet & friendly.

We got to leave the hospital a little after noon!

Timmy was to be on the following medications
Digoxin 50 mcg every 12 hours
Lasix 8 mg every 12 hours
Phenobarbital 15 mg in the A.M.
Phenobarbital 30 mg in the afternoon
Tylenol 120 mg every 4 hours for pain

I will never forget the feeling of leaving the hospital. It held so much GOOD for me, yet it held so much sadness in watching the horror others had to face. Three babies were lost (that we know of) in the time we spent there. It was a bittersweet place for me. I opened the car window and let the wind hit my face!

After a little rest we all went to the Space Needle. Later, Timmy & mommy stayed in our room & napped while Daddy took Auntie & Tristan to show them around Seattle a bit. They had come such a long way & hadn't seen anything aside from the hospital.
