To daughter's graduation, we headed out west,
To Washington state, which is one of the best.
We towed behind us our little pop up,
Which I had warned hubby, was about to erupt.
Hubby discovered, when in a wet mess he awoke,
That I wasn't just kidding or making a joke.
The holes in the canvas by his camper bed,
Let the rain come right in, right next to his head.
I could have laughed or said "see I was right",
But I kept my mouth shut, not wanting a fight.
He went outside to turn on the propane,
And when the handle then broke, he yelled out in vain.
We went shopping for RV's the very same day,
Not really knowing how much we would pay.
We found a Class C, haggled over the price,
Made money arrangements, and said "this is nice".
Down through Oregon to California we went,
Not really caring that all our money was spent.
We admired the scenery as we drove over the pass,
And we quickly discoverd that RV's eat up gas.
Through deserts and mountains and plains we drove home,
To rest areas and campgrounds with our RV we did roam.
We could pull off anytime, to just take a rest,
And we all agreed, RV camping's the best.
