Liz's Lair Part Two

I thought I would add a little more about myself that I may not think to impart to some I chat to, and for those who have come across this page by accident.

What can I tell you? That's the question I suppose.

The fact that my children are in their 20s is due to the fact that I was a child bride, married at 16 years old. Needless to say the odds were stacked against us and the marriage did not last. I have been married to Dave for 15 years now .

Favourite Song ? I don't know if I have a favourite, although I have a leaning to Linda Ronstadt. I also like the music my brother plays and perhaps will be able to put some of it on this site for you to sample.

Favourite Movie ? "The Devil's Advocate" with Al Pacino is currently my favourite. He plays a magnificent devil in my opinion. If you haven't seen it I recommend it.

My favourite animal is the Tiger. I went to Dreamworld in Queensland in December 1998 and got to pat a live Tiger. It surprised me how big they are up close and how heavy their tails are, yes I had a Tiger by the tail :)

My favorite bird is the owl. I have a collection of owl drawings, pictures, tapestries and figurines.

My Favourite colour is Red which should come as no surprise to those who know me.

Greatest Attributes ? Well I would like to think that I am a good friend, but perhaps my friends are the only ones to answer that.
I also think I have a good sense of humour and enjoy a joke, many of which I have been sent by friends in other countries, especially Allen in USA.

Work ? Yes I do. I am what I guess is called middle management and have the ultimate responsibility for around 50 staff. I work for the Government and prefer to leave it at that.

Proudest Moments ? Not only the birth of my sons, but probably more watching them collect awards for success in their chosen fields.

What has been happening in my life since I came back from seeing the tiger, I hear you ask

Well recently I was involved in a small accident in my car. No one hurt thankfully.

Oh and most important I turned 42. If you are a fan of Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy you will know that 42 is the answer to "Life, the Universe and Everything."

I have found some new net friends, some through the passing of my friend Murray and some I met on Freetel.

And I have been working on my garden quite a bit, which is starting to look really nice but still needs some work to it.

OK I am back again for another update

There have been some good things and some bad in my life

My job has changed and I now do not have any staff responsibility, which is great.

Some sadness has also come into my life with the passing of a work friend. Unfortunately he took his own life which shocked all who knew him but it does bring home the fact that we NEVER really know anyone.

However I have also made some new friends on the net (Hi Terry) and have renewed my friendship with another who I had lost contact with.

I have never been able to figure out why people play so many games on the net, you think you have figured them out then "poof" they have disappeared into cyberspace, never to be heard from again

That's all for now I guess, nothing much changes does it? 7/8/1999

Back again!!!

It is now October 21st and nearly a year has passed since my dear friend Murray passed away. I have missed him so much and it hardly seems fair that he was taken so early and yet there are so many evil people in the world who would never be missed.

I am now officially an "empty nester" and before anyone wonders too hard, it means that the last child has left home. My youngest son (23) has moved out and although I think of it as gaining a computer room, it has been a bit difficult to handle but I am sure I will be over it soon.
