Charlie Brown wins your heart with his losing ways. Italways rains on his parade, his baseball game, and hislife. He's an inveterate worrier who frets over trifles (butwho's to say they're trifles?). Although he is concernedwith the true meaning of life, his friends sometimes callhim "blockhead." Other than his knack for puttinghimself down, there are few sharp edges of wit in his repertoire; usually he's the butt of the joke, not thejoker. He can be spotted a mile away in his sweater withthe zig zag trim, head down, hands in pocket, headed forLucy's psychiatric booth. He is considerate, friendlyand polite and we love him knowing that he'll never wina baseball game or the heart of the little red-haired girl, kick the football Lucy is holding or fly a kitesuccessfully. His friends call him "wishy-washy," buthis spirit will never give up in his quest to triumph overadversity.
