-----------------

The above obituary was of Herman F. Groppel. Herman F. Groppel may have been related to Herman H. Groppel in some way. I have been unable to find information to establish how they were related or if they were related. Herman F. Groppel married Louisa Burgermeyer 2-22-1871. I think Louisa was married before to a man who's last name was Burgermeyer and had 3 children from her first marriage, because in the above obituary for Herman F. Groppel it said he had 3 step children. I'm not sure of the spelling of Louisa's maiden name. I Think it might be spelled Trauernicht or Frauernicht, although I have seen these other spellings for her maiden name in the obituaries and cemetery records also, Traunick and Trauncih. In the above obituary it says that 3 of Herman and Louisa (Trauernicht) Burgermeyer Groppel's children preceded him in death, and that 6 children survived him. I could only find information pertaining to 6 of their children. Their other 3 children must have died young or in infancy.
