He married Susan Davenport, the daughter of Abe Davenport. She was born 3-18-1860, and died 5-23-1940. She is also buried in the Noble Cemetery. They had 9 children-Elmer Benjamin Kirchner, Edward Kirchner, George Kirchner, Emma Kirchner, Nellie Kirchner, Rosetta Kirchner, Louise Kirchner, Margaret Kirchner, and Alice Kirchner.

She married Charles Franklin Lorsbach 10-25-1921, and he died 6-5-1932, and is buried in St. Norbert's Cemetery In Hardin, IL. They had 6 children-Neal William Lorsbach born 10-25-1923 who lives in Winchester, IL, Charles Paul Lorsbach born 9-9-1925, Dorothy Louise (Lorsbach) Schumann born 2-12-1928 who is in a nursing home in Jacksonville, IL, Joseph Leo Lorsbach born 3-19-1931, and 2 other children stillborn. Orville E. "Whitey" Skinner and his first wife Clara Louise (Dean) Lorsbach Skinner had 2 daughters-Pauline Josephine Skinner and Edna Ruth Skinner. Orville E. "Whitey" Skinner and his first wife Clara Louise (Dean) Lorsbach Skinner later divorced and he married a woman who's first name was Jean (I don't know her last name). He later married Marilyn Campbell in 1972 in Pearl, IL. They had no children together.

She married Charles Spears and they had 3 children-Charles Spears Jr, Mark Spears, and a son who died in infancy. She lives in Harrisburg, IL.

Orville E. "Whitey" Skinner's obituary - Orville E. "Whitey" Skinner, 85, died at 9:48 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2002 in Reisch Memorial Nursing Home in Carrollton. Born June 22, 1916, in Jersey County, he was a son of the late Clifford and Emma (Kirchner) Skinner. He married the former Marilyn Campbell in 1972 in Pearl, Ill. She survives. A nationally known blacksmith and horseshoer, he retired in 1992 from the Illinois Department of Transportation as a bridge tender at the Joe Page Bridge in Hardin. He was a member of the Fieldon Masonic Lodge 592.
Also surviving are a daughter, Edna Skinner of Harrisburg, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a grandson and a brother, Lavern "Bud" Skinner. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Gubser Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Jon Lorch will officiate. Burial will follow at Fieldon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Reisch Memorial Nursing Home in Carrollton.

(2a) Clifford and Emma (Kirchner) Skinner's son Lavern "Bud" Skinner was born in Jersey County, IL. He is deceased. He died before his brother Whitey, but I don't know the date of his death. He was married, but I don't know the name of his wife. He had no children. He was in the service and was a veteran. He and his wife lived in the Alton, IL area, and he worked at the Olin factory in Alton, IL.

He was born 5-23-1875 in Jersey County, IL, and died 6-18-1961 in Otterville, Jersey County, IL. He was the son of Joseph and Lena (Hooper) Wahle. He is buried at Otterville Cemetery. They had 5 children-Clarence Adolph Wahle, James Robert Wahle, Henry Harold Wahle, George J. Wahle, and Fred Wahle.

They had 3 children, Clarence A. Wahle Jr., Mrs. James (Helen) Burrell of Seattle, Wash, and Mrs. Edward (Mary) Cannon of Otterville, IL. He later married Alice Fern Gorman in 1925. She was born 3-21-1907, and died in Nov. 1969 in Jerseyville, IL. She was the daughter of Charles and Anna (Roberts) Gorman.

(1aa) Clarence A. and Lela (Gowins) Wahle's daughter - Mary Louis Cannon, 85, left her earthly body and entered into her heavenly reward at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Jerseyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center from complications of a stroke she suffered several months ago. She was born Dec. 22, 1921, in Otter Creek Township to Clarence A. and Lela (Gowins) Wahle. She married Edward Leland Cannon on Sept. 24, 1939, in St. Charles, Mo., and they had celebrated 51 years of marriage before his death on Dec. 21, 1990. She attended the historic Hamilton Primary School in Otterville and was the oldest lifelong resident of Otterville. She was a homemaker and loved to quilt, crochet, watch birds at the feeder, work jigsaw puzzles and spend time with her family.
Surviving are three daughters and a son-in-law, Judith Ann and Phil Wright of Jerseyville and Peggy Jo Hotz and Mary Jean Cannon, both of Otterville; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Raymond Edward Cannon and Richard Leland and Diane Cannon, all of Jerseyville, Roger Dale and Robin Cannon of Fieldon and John William and Cindy Cannon of Otterville; six grandchildren and their spouses, Jonna and Phil Pine and Steven and Melissa Cannon, all of Jerseyville, Molly and Dylan Cannon of Fieldon and Aleisha and Johnny Cannon of Otterville; two great-grandchildren, Jillian Pine and Everett Cannon, both of Jerseyville; a sister, Kathryn Johnson of Jerseyville; and two sisters-in-law, Joann (Leland) Morrow of Carrollton and Betty Cannon of Phoenix, Ariz.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her mother- and father-in-law, John and Lottie Peg Cannon; a sister, Helen Burrell; and an infant brother, Clarence A. Wahle Jr. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Otterville Southern Baptist Church, with burial at Noble Cemetery in Otterville. Memorials may be given to the youth group at the Otterville Southern Baptist Church, American Diabetes Association or the National Stroke Association.

She is buried at Fieldon Cemetery, Jersey County, IL. She married Justus Russell 1-12-1910 in Jersey County, IL. He was born 6-21-1891 in Oswego, Kansas, and died in Nov. 1968 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, IL. He is buried at Fieldon Cemetery, Jersey County, IL. They lived in Nutwood, IL and Justus Russell farmed in the Nutwood, IL area. He was the son of Rev. Reuben and Martha (Hand) Russell. Justus and Alice (Kirchner) Russell had 3 children-Earl A. "Heavy" Russell, Everett Russell, and Hazel Mae Russell.

She is buried at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville, IL. She married Ralph Ayres 12-10-1938 in St. Charles, MO. He died 4-20-1982. They had 2 children-Naomi Ayres who married Lambert Hagan of Jerseyville, IL, and Patricia (Ayres) Phillips of Taylorville, IL.
George Christopher Kirchner
George C. Kirchner, deceased, settled in Jersey county at an early day, having come from Germany to America in 1835. He was born in Germany, Jan. 16, 1816, and was 17 years old when he immigrated to this country. He landed at New Orleans, and immediately started for St. Louis, but on account of the river being frozen over, was six months making the trip. He remained in St. Louis for a time, then came to Jersey county, where he resided until his decease, Dec. 11, 1881. At the time of his death he owned 365 acres of land, and was in prosperous circumstances. He was married June 27, 1823 to Elizabeth Thurston, who died Sept. 13, 1865. They had 12 children, eight of whom are now living: George B., Gottfried, William W., Charles R., Clarissa C., Valentine H., Otha O., L. H., and Ulysses C. Nov. 1, 1871 Mr. Kirchner was married to Maria C. Becker, who survives him. By this union there were four children: William H., Henry L., Anna and Emelia. Mrs. Kirchner now owns 85 acres of land, and assisted by her children, carries on farming. The family are all members of the German Lutheran church of Fieldon.

George Christopher Kirchner died 12-11-1881. Republican Examiner, 16 December 1881: George Christopher Kirchner died at his home, three miles south of Fieldon on 11 December, aged 65 years. Funeral by Lutheran minister at home of deceased. Burial was in Oak Grove cemetery. He was born at Erfurt, Germany on 17 January 1816. He was educated in his native land, came to this country in 1835 to Alton a short time, then to Richwoods township. In 1840, he married Elizabeth Thuston of Jerseyville. They lived together for 24 years. Twelve children were born, eight are living. She died in 1864. He married Mrs. Mary Charlotte Bueker (Klocke). She had one child and bore three more of this marriage. He wed her in 1871.

After his first wife Elizabeth (Thurston) Kirchner's death, George Christopher Kirchner married Nov. 1, 1871 Marie Charlotte Becker.

Kirchner, 80, of this city were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. James Pepper of Jerseyville officiating. His death occurred at 5:30 pm on 18 September at Jersey Community Hospital. Interment was in Oak Grove cemetery.
A retired contractor, he was born 27 August 1891 in Otterville, the son of Valentine and Mary Wallenweber Kirchner. His wife, the former Sara C. Dower, survives. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Morris Kirchner of Edwardsville and Paul F. Kirchner of Jerseyville; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Waterfall of Edwardsville; four grandchildren; and one brother, Raymon D. Kirchner of Wood River. Visitation hours were held after 4 pm Monday at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home.

Floyd B. Kirchner's wife - Sarah Cecelia (Dower) Kirchner died 01-16-1972. Unknown newspaper, 20 January 1972: "Services for Mrs. Kirchner on Wednesday" - final services for Mrs. Sarah Cecelia Kirchner, 82, of this city were held Wednesday afternoon at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. James Pepper officiating. Her death occurred at 7:25 am on 16 January at Jersey Community Hospital. Interment was in Oak Grove cemetery. Born 22 August 1889 in Jersey County, she was the daughter of Peter and Mary Vahle Dower.
Her husband was the late Floyd B. Kirchner. Her survivors are two sons, Paul F. Kirchner of Jerseyville and Morris Kirchner of Edwardsville; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Waterfall of Edwardsville; four grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. George French of Jerseyville. Visitation hours were held at Jacoby Funeral Home.

Everett Chambers officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove cemetery. He died unexpectedly at 9:15 am on 6 February at Alton memorial hospital. Kirchner was a printer at the Alton Telegraph for 22 years and had worked at the Democrat News at one time. He was a World War II veteran.
He was born 22 November 1915 in Jersey County, a son of Floyd and Sarah Dower Kirchner. His survivors are his wife, the former Maura M. Pauselli; two sons, Richard E. and James E. of Jerseyville; two grandchildren; one brother, Morris Kirchner, and a sister, Verona Waterfall , both of Edwardsville.

Allen Vanausdoll, 79 years, 2 months, 4 days, a retired farmer of Otterville, died January 15 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ross Seago, on Harbert St., Jerseyville. He was the son of the late Caleb & Martha (Hewitt) Vanausdoll and he was born in Christian County, Illinois, on November 11, 1869.

(1aaa) Allen and Lenora (Kirchner) Vanausdoll's grandson - Richard Vanausdoll, 30, a native of Jersey County, was slain last Wednesday night in Denver, Colorado. A 22 year old one time garage worker is being held by Denver police in connection with the tragedy. Vanausdoll was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Allen Laverne Vanausdoll of Shipman. He was born at Otterville and resided there until he was about two years old when the family moved to Alton. Mrs. Vanausdoll, her daughter, Mrs. Damon Helmontoler of Peoria, her sister, Mrs. Annabell Quinn of Jerseyville, and mother, Mrs. John Ortlieb of Alton, returned Tuesday from Denver where they had gone after receiving word of the incident.
The body of Mr. Vanausdoll is at Staten Funeral Home in Alton where visitation was held. The Methodist church in Shipman was the scene of the funeral and burial was in Shipman cemetery. Vanausdoll and his wife, Edna (Easter) Vanausdoll, and their children had resided in Denver for about a year. He was an engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad in Denver, and had previously been an engineer and a switchman for the Illinois Terminal Railroad in Alton.
According to reports Vanausdoll was killed by a charge from a shotgun fired as he approached a car in front of his southeast Denver home. The victim's widow, Edna, 28, was reportedly being held for investigation. According to Denver police, the man in custody and Vanausdoll's wife admitted to carrying on a romance. The victim was a veteran of the Korean conflict having served 4 years. He is the holder of the Bronze Star.
Surviving are his parents; his widow; 1 son, Randy, 1 daughter, Elizabeth; 2 foster children, Becky and Cheryl Pope of Denver, 1 sister, Mrs. Damon Helomontoler of Peoria, 1 brother, Marvin Vanausdoll, who is serving in the Navy, his grandmothers, Mrs. Allen Vanausdoll, a resident of Otterville for many years and now residing with the Vanausdoll family at Shipman, and Mrs. John Ortlieb of Alton.

(3a) Valentine and Mary (Wollenweber) Kirchner's son Morris Kirchner's wife -- Bernadine C. Kirchner, 80, died at 2:15 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2001, at Maryville Nursing Home in Maryville. Born April 15, 1921, in Edwardsville, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Epping) Burns. A cafeteria worker for the Edwardsville School District, she primarily worked in the snack bar area at Edwardsville High School. She was an avid card player, especially pinochle, enjoying many games at the Edwardsville Senior Citizens Center on Main Street. She was a former member of Women of the Moose Chapter 82 and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville. She married Morris M. Kirchner Aug. 17, 1942, in Edwardsville. He died May 17, 1999.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Bothman and her husband, Albert, of Glen Carbon; three grandchildren, Shae, Abby, and Sean Hileman; a great-grandchild, Rileigh Hindahl; a stepgrandchild, Ben Bothman; and three sisters-in-law, Leona Burns and Verona Waterfall, both of Edwardsville, and Louise Burns of Albuquerque, N.M. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee Kirchner; three brothers, Edward, Ray and Eugene Burns; and a sister, Elizabeth. Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. at Pletcher Funeral Home in Edwardsville. Services was at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville with the Rev. John Corredato, CSV, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Glen Carbon. Mrs. Myers, a daughter of the late Otha and Mary Brockmeyer Kirchner, was born in Jersey County. Her age at the time of death was eighty-three years, nine months, and thirteen days. Her survivors are one son, Arthur C. Myers of Jerseyville; one daughter, Mrs. Leah Neidringhaus of Jennings, Missouri; seven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Kirchner, ex-sheriff, died Friday" - Herman Christopher Kirchner of this city, former city and county official, died Friday afternoon, 21 February at 1:35 o'clock at Garnet's Nursing Home where he had resided six days. His death followed an extended period of ill health. The family home was at 407 West Spruce Street. Mr. Kirchner was elected Sheriff of Jersey County in 1954 and served a four year term. He also served eight years as Deputy Sheriff during the regimes of Sheriff Herman H. Blackorby, Jr., and the late Sheriff C. E. Wedding. Mr. Kirchner was employed as radio operator for one year during the term of office of Sheriff Howard Perdun. In 1951, Mr. Kirchner was elected a member of the Jerseyville City Council and served as Commissioner of Public Property. He resigned the post in December, 1954, to assume his duties as sheriff. A resident of Jerseyville for twenty-seven years, Mr. Kirchner and his wife engaged in the grocery business for five years, and he also operated a filling station for a time. The decedent operated a milk route in the county for ten years. Mr. Kirchner was a son of the Late Otha and Mary Brockmeyer Kirchner and was born in Jersey County on 11 September 1890.
His age at the time of death was seventy-three years, five months and ten days. he was a member of the Otterville Baptist church and of Jerseyville Lodge No. 394, AF & AM surviving Mr. Kirchner are his wife, Mrs. Nina L. Kirchner, one daughter, Mrs. Preston (Eunice) Mowen of Jerseyville, one son, Hurbert Kirchner of Alton, two grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Betha Myers of Jerseyville. One daughter Mrs. Melva Oliphint, preceded him in death. Friends called at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home where final rites were held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Rev. Mode Powell, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiated and interment was in Oak Grove cemetery. Masonic services were held Saturday evening at the funeral home.

She was a schoolteacher with District 100 for more than 33 years, retiring in 1962. Born in Jersey County, she was the daughter of the Late Herman C. and Nena (Landon) Kirchner. On December 29, 1939, in Troy, Missouri, she married George H. Houseman. He died in July 1951. She later married Preston Mowen on August 10, 1960, in Waterloo. He died on July 26, 1984.
Surviving are a Daughter, Juanetta Powers of Jerseyville; a stepson, Robert Mowen of Jerseyville; a grandson; two step grandchildren; and a nephew whom she raised, Darrell Kirchner of Jacksonville, Texas. Preceding her in death were a Brother, Hubert Kirchner; and a sister, Melva Oliphint. Visitation is from 4 to 8 pm Monday at Gubser Funeral Home in Jerseyville, with an Order of the Eastern Star service at 7 pm by Jerseyville Lodge 656. Funeral services are a 1:30 pm Tuesday at Gubser Funeral Home in Jerseyville with the Rev. Walter C. Burk officiating. Burial is in Oak Grove cemetery in Jerseyville. Dated July 1984: Funeral services for Preston Mowen, 82, of 27 Oakwood, Jerseyville were held at 1 pm Saturday Jul 28, at Gubser's Funeral Home, Rev. R. E. George officiating. Burial was in the Grimes-Neely cemetery west of Jerseyville. Mowen was born in Jersey County, August 3, 1901, the son of Walter and Agnes Brooks Mowen. He died at 5:33 am. July 26 at Garnet's Chateau. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Kane Masonic Lodge and Ainad Shrine Temple of East St. Louis. He was married to Anna Williams and she died in 1956.
He married Eunice Kirchner, in Waterloo, in 1960. Surviving are his wife, Eunice, a son, Robert Mowen, Jerseyville, a step-daughter, Juanetta Powers, Jerseyville, three grandchildren, one great grandchild; two sisters, Nellie McGuire, Jerseyville and Eva Bray, Alton. A daughter, two sisters and his parents preceded him in death. Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children and the First Baptist church in Jerseyville, of which he was a member have been named as memorials.

Kirchner, 56, of Alton, formerly of Jerseyville, were conducted from Gent 's Funeral Chapel, Alton, on 2 April, with the Rev. Everett B. Chambers, pastor of the First Baptist church of Jerseyville officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove cemetery. He died at St. Joseph's hospital in Alton on 30 March as a result of injuries sustained in a head on collision on 21 March, south of Medora. Kirchner was of the ballistics department of Olin Industries at the time of his death.
He is survived by his widow, Virginia Farrelly Kirchner; one son, Darrell G. of Morgtown, West Virginia; two stepdaughters, Mrs. George (Sharon) Sneed of St. Louis and Mrs. Sheila Hager of Springfield; two grandsons; and one Sister, Mrs. Preston (Eunice) Mowen of Jerseyville. Hubert E. Kirchner's wife - Grace Virginia "Gini" Kirchner, 90, died at 2:05 a.m. Sunday, April 16, 2006, at St. Agnes Home in Kirkwood, Mo. She was born Oct. 14, 1915, in Carrollton, Ill., to Charles Roy and Mary Grace (Smith) Farrelly. She married John N. Enders in Petersburg, Ill., in 1939. He died in May 1945, fighting in World War II. She then married Hubert E. Kirchner Dec. 5, 1957, in Springfield, Ill. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1976. An office manager and auditor for the IRS for more than 30 years, she retired in 1976. Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Lea Sneed of St. Louis and Sheila Kay Hager of Springfield, Ill.; two grandchildren, William Hager III and John Hager; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service was held at a later date and burial was private. The Rev. Kirchner was born in Otterville area, 30 September 1888, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Kirchner. His age at the time of death was sixty-nine years, three months and eleven days. The decedent was educated in the county schools and following his graduation from high school he attended Shurtleff College and was ordained a minister in 1908. He later taught in the Grafton schools and from 1920 until 1925 he was engaged in the grocery business in North Alton. For many years he was engaged in evangelistic work, and prior to his retirement in 1950 he was pastor of Central Avenue Church of Christ.
Surviving Rev. Kirchner are his wife, Florence E. Hartwick to whom he was married 18 October 1908 in Jersey County ; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Loehler of Cottage Hills and Mrs. Robert Jouett of White Hall; a son, Robert J. Kirchner of Medora; three brothers, Ray of St. Louis, Russell of Springfield and Harold of White Hall, and a sister, Mrs. Lloyd Elliott of Godfrey.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kirchner. Russell L. "Peck" Kirchner's wife -- Thelma "Sis" Kirchner, 87, died at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, at the Jerseyville Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born March 26, 1914, in Jersey County, to the late Paul and Bertha (Borman) Gilleland. A beautician for 15 years and a salesperson for 15 years at Graham Variety, she retired in 1987. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, VFW and American Legion auxiliaries, all of Jerseyville and Jersey Community Hospital Auxiliary. On March 16, 1946, in Fieldon, she married Russell "Peck" Kirchner. He died Aug. 19, 1969.
Surviving are nieces and nephews, Phyllis and J.W. Medling of Eldred, Linda and Rick Freer, Aaron and Anthony Robeen, Andrea, Frank, Page, Tom and Nate Passaro and Casey Presley. Funeral services were held in Chicago, Wednesday afternoon April 27. The body is at the Gubser Funeral Home in Jerseyville where friends may call after 2 o'clock this afternoon, Thursday, April 28. Final rites will be held at the Otterville Baptist Church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock Rev. Avery Courtney, pastor of the church will officiate ate services and interment will be in the Otterville Cemetery.

He is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville, IL. He married Catherine Voorhees 3-18-1867 in Jersey County, IL. I don't have any other information about William W. Kirchner or his family.
(6) George Christopher and Elizabeth (Thurston) Kirchner's son George B. Kirchner was born in 1842 in Jersey County, IL. He died 7-6-1927 in Jersey County, IL. He is buried at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyvile, IL. He married Margaret Brown 1-25-1865 in Jesey County, IL. She was born in 1843 and died in 1874. She is buried at Brown Cemetery, English Township, Jersey County, IL. George B. and Margaret (Brown) Kirchner had 2 children-Viola E. Kirchner and George A. Kirchner. George B. Kirchner later married Mary M. Post 1-1-1903. George B. and Margaret (Brown) Kirchner's son George A. Kirchner married Edith Henson 9-16-1891 in Jersey County, IL.

(9) George Christopher and Elizabeth (Thurston) Kirchner had a son Ulysses C. Kirchner. I don't have any information about their son Ulysses C. Kirchner.
George Christopher and Elizabeth (Thurston) Kirchner had 3 other children who's names I have not been able to identify.
(1) George Christopher and Marie Charlotte (Becker) Kirchner's daughter Amelia Anna Kirchner was born November 23, 1876 in Jersey County, Illinois. She married Johann Augustus Egelhoff on August 18, 1871 in Jersey County. She died June 27, 1937. she is buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville. Johann August and Amelia Anna (Kirchner) Egelhoff's son - Ralph K. Egelhoff, well-known Jerseyville florist and chairman of the Jerseyville Water Board died at seven-five o'clock at the Jersey Community Hospital where he was taken for treatment after suffering a sever heart attach at the family home west of Jerseyville an hour earlier. Mr Egelhoff, a son of the late J. August and Amelia Ann Kirchner Egelhoff, was born in Jersey County. His age at the time of death was 59 years, 3 months, and 28 days. He was educated in the Jerseyville schools and later attended the University of Illinois. he had been in the nursery business since the '30's.
Mr Egelhoff was serving his third nine year term as a member of the Jerseyville Water Board and has held the chairmanship of the Board for a number of years. He was also instrumental in the organization of the Westlake Development Corp. which foster the Westlake Country Club, and through his knowledge of the nursery business he has given valuable assistance to the preparation and care of the greens on the golf course.
The Jerseyville florist was a charter member of the Lions Club and served as one of its first presidents. He was a past worshipful master of Jerseyville Lodge A.F. and A.M. and was member of the First Baptist Church of Jerseyville. Other fraternal memberships were in the Elks and Moose Lodges of Jerseyville. Prior to the organization of Community Unit School Dist No 100, Jersey and Greene Counties, Mr Egelhoff served on the Board of Education of the Jerseyville Grade School for a number of years. At the time of his death he was serving as president of the Federal Land Bank Association of Carrollton. Surviving Mr Egelhoff are his ( rest of obit Missing. 4-29-1966 Democrat News)
