Once you get above the sandy bottom Thompson Creek the topography changes to high hills, and deep canyons lush with a variety of live oak, birch, and grizzly barked white oak with the acorns as big as golf balls. In the spring the dogwood's dot the country side with flaked of snow.

The Saint Francisville area is my most favorite place in Louisiana because it is surrounded by dense forests, colorful gardens, and romantic plantation houses.
