I assumed he was right on the money, because there is a huge Muriel of Gone With the Wind scenes in the lobby if this hotel left over from t 30's. I assumed the cast stayed there. Next time you are in the area, walk through the center front of the Belmont Hotel on North Airline or Highway 61.
Well the tourist peoples said my daddy was mistaken. Gone With the Wind was filmed in Charlotte. Hum , kiss my grits. They said Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte was filmed on Highway 61 near St. Francisville.
When I was just a young Butchie Boy my daddy was shining a flash light up to the heavens and said that I could walk up the beam of the flashlight to get a candy bar on the Milky Way. I replied that he wasn't raising a fool and that I knew that when I got about half way up the beam that he would turn the light off and I would fall and bust my tail. Well all this talk about darkness and horror films has got me frightened.. I wanted to say scared, but I am not sure how to spell it. That is one of those words that could go either way. Like I mean you could be scared that you might get eaten by a bare, or you could be talking about the scar that Mary Jane left on your chest when she broke her hart. Well that's a poof for me. Glad you could visit. Ooooo leave the bathroom light on .
