The Dogs of Black Sheep Farm

The farm always seems to have one canine or another running around, and our status quo never seems to drop below two. Here are the current K-9s ,

Cowboy

Of course, no sheep farm could be complete without a sheep herding dog. Cowboy is a purebred Border Collie, and he likes to play ball, frisbee, chase the horses, sheep, goat, and chickens, and catch flies and crickets. Cowboy is 4, and belongs to Nichole. He is a replacement dog for one that went to a farm in Wisconsin...

Natasha

At last we found just the right dog for us! We have been able to adopt a Kuvosz from Kuvosz Rescue. She is a beautiful 2 and 1/2 year old named Natasha who comes to us from a family in Minnesota. She was well loved by them but could not remain in their family due to allergies, so she has found a new home here on the farm. It has been an interesting transition, from city dog to country girl, but she is taking it in stride and will soon settle into a different type of life of leisure. Since we did not get Natasha as a puppy, when we tell people we have a new dog Nichole corrects us and says it is a "Used Dog". Either way, we welcome her to our family.

Our new addition Natasha

Ginger

14 years old, half Black Lab, half Doberman

Ginger passed away on November 1, 1999.
She died quietly while sleeping in her chair,
and now rests under a sunny patch of the farm.
We miss her very much.

Bandit

This was Bandit, half German Shepherd, half Afghan Hound. He was a goofy dog, but a very good boy. a good boy, but kinda dumb. Like having a 75 pound cat.
Bandit passed away on October 30, 1999 after a short illness.
He was a very sweet boy, and we are saddened by our loss.
The barnyard is much too quiet without him.

The loss of two dogs within 2 days was very devastating for our family. We have been reassuring our daughter that although these dogs died, that Cowboy, her dog, is young and healthy and not likely to pass away soon.

Stormy

What better dog to have on a virtual farm then a cyber dog! This is Stormy, named im memory a a great dog that did a bad, bad thing. Twice. Stormy had to go to a farm in Wisconsin. She was Gingers sister, and we raised them both from birth. Paul found them in a trash dumpster on a job site, still wet from being born, and brought them home. It was'nt untill several years after we had them that a veteranarian told me how difficult it is to raise a bottle baby like that, but I figure, hey, it prepared me for motherhood. Those 3 am feeding were nothing new to me when my daughter came alone.

If you would like to adopt your own Cyber-dog, here is where you need to go!
