ADAM'S CHRISTMAS 1998
I just love Christmas and this year was great. Now I am big enough to help decorate the Christmas tree and I really enjoyed all the lights and decorations. Here I am at my Nan's house, helping decorate her Christmas tree. It's tradition in our family that the grandchildren help decorate the tree, so my big cousin Alex helped me to put coloured balls on the tree. The day we decorated the tree it was 42 deg.C outside (about 107 deg.F) so that is why I am wearing just a nappy and singlet. Snow at Christmas - never!!!
I can't believe that my second Christmas has come and gone. This year I really enjoyed all the Christmas decorations and lights and presents! I saw Santa at the local shopping centre and I wasn't scared at all. Santa even came to visit my daycare centre and he gave me a lolly and a book!
Christmas was a family time - but I was sick!!! On the day before Christmas, I was diagnosed with tonsillitis so I was not a happy boy! I spent most of the day sleeping and feeling miserable. But I got spoilt. Here I am with my new play castle that I have in my bedroom - my Dad reckons that I'm such a lucky boy to have a slide in my room.
Here I am with my mum, looking at my new 'Spot' book. My Nan and Pop gave me the school bus which I love playing with.
For Christmas lunch, we got together with my Mum's family at my Auntie Jen's place - I didn't eat much and prefered to play with my new toys or watch a video so that the adults could eat in peace.
At lunch was my Nan and Pop, Auntie Jen and Uncle David, Uncle Andrew and my cousin Alex and of course, my Mum and Dad.
Unfortunately, the other side of my family live in Queensland and we weren't able to see them this year, but we are hoping to spend Christmas up there in 1999!
