Cross Stitch Links You Need

There are lots of websites with lists of links to great cross stitch sites so I'm only going to list a few of the most necessary for you here. These are the best of their kind along with a few of my personal favorites.

This is Kathy Dyer's site and it is the most complete site out there for needleworkers. Along with a huge list of links to other sites, designers, and companies, this site also contains thread conversions, free pattern listings, stitching help, historical information ...... the list just goes on and on. The complete faqs for the newsgroup RCTN are maintained by Kathy and offer the needleworker an amazing amount of information!

Looking for a pattern? This site lists free patterns by subject available on the internet. Thanks to all the fledgling and professional designers out there for all these patterns and thanks to Sue for organizing them all for us!

Ellen's personal site provides a lot of information for the stitcher interested in samplers. There are lists of sampler guilds, designers, books .......... Go take a look! She also offers a gallery of finished samplers as well as works in progress from some of the best designers out there.

Need help with a new specialty stitch? Classic Stitches is a Scottish magazine and offers this page of their site to help you learn many stitches by diagram.

Hoffman is one of the largest distributors of patterns in the U.S. and they have graciously provided an "Online Reference Catalogue" with pictures. There is a search feature available by designer or subject to help you find just what you are looking for.

If you are looking for samplers to stitch Lydia probably has them at this mail order site. All my favorite designers are represented here along with all the goodies needed to complete them. And Lydia is just great!

My other favorite mail order site. Lois is just wonderful and offers lots of extras to her customers like serging fabrics, special packaging, and tracking down elusive designs and supplies. Her stock is well rounded and her advice never wrong.
