Dear Tim & Joy,

I sat here wanting to say something special to let you know you mean so much to me.  I haven't sat down in awhile and wrote any of my poetry, so I sat here and thought of you and Joy and what we are all going through and so I came up with this just for you and to let you know I truly care about you both!

Look to this day
For it is life
The very life of life.
In its brief course lie all
The realities and verities of existence
The bliss of growth
The splendor of action
The glory of power

For yesterday is but a dream
And tomorrow is only a vision.
But today, well lived
Makes every yesterday a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.

Look well, therefore, to this day.

I truly hope that you two make it through the problems you have going on right now.  I pray that God keeps you in his arms and wraps you up in his love and carries you through all of this.  You two mean so much to me/us!

I want to also share this with you:

Life is about who you love and who you hurt.  It's about who you make happy or unhappy purposefully.  It's about keeping or betraying trust.  It's about friendship used as a sanity or a weapon.  It's about what you say and mean... maybe hurtful, maybe heartening.  About not starting rumors and contributing to petty gossip.  It's about what judgements you pass and why.

And who your judgements are spread to.  It's about who you've ignored with full control and intention.  It's about stopping jealously, fear, ignorance and revenge.  It's about stopping inner hate and fostering inner love, letting it grow and spreading it.  But Most of all its about using your life to touch and not poison other people's hearts in such a way that could have never occurred alone.  Only you choose the way those hearts are affected and those choices are what life's all about.

I believe that you two definitely have shown me a lot of what life is about in our friendship that has grown over the months.  I can't wait to meet the both of you and just give you a great big hug!!
