MBPOA board members serve for two-year terms.  Elections for members whose terms are expiring are held each year in October at the annual general members' meeting.  Officer and committee chair positions are voted on by the Board.

Mallard Bay Board Goals for 2009

The MBPOA Board of Directors has adopted the following goals for 2009:

1. Implement the recently adopted amendments to the Covenants and the Community Rules.

2. Provide handicap access (ramp) to the clubhouse.

3. Provide additional parking at the clubhouse and marina.

4. Determine the cost and likely effectiveness of retaining professional expert assistance when reapplying for marina expansion.

5. Determine the cost and feasibility of acquiring additional land or conservation easements as a visual buffer, to expand the boat/RV storage lot, and as a future site for a sewage treatment facility.

6. Implement a bench donation program (permitting property owners to donate benches, with memorial plaques attached if desired, to be place at specified sites in the common areas).

7. Improve the new crabbing pier with lighting, water and seating.

8. Find and implement an effective way of controlling goose overpopulation in the community.

9.  Develop a community emergency preparedness plan.

Meeting Schedule

MBPOA Board:  second Monday of each month, 7:30 PM, at the Clubhouse.

Architectural Review Committee: first Monday of each month, 7:30 PM, at the Clubhouse.

Other Committees: at the call of the Chair.

Annual Membership Meeting:  The next annual membership meeting will be held in October, 2009, in the Mallard Bay clubhouse.  The exact date and time are to be determined.

All Mallard Bay property owners are encouraged to attend regular meetings of the Board as well as those of the standing committees.
