October is Breast Cancer awareness month (although Oct.has come and gone, this message is important all year round!)
As a woman, and a breast cancer survivor, I would like to urge
all of you women to take the time to make an appointment to have
a mammogram this month. Don't think that if breast cancer doesn't
run in your family that you can't get it because it didn't run in mine either. Don't be afraid of being diagnosed with breast
cancer.....be afraid of not finding out in time!
Breast cancer is not a death sentence.....especially if it is
detected early. A mammogram is not painful....at worst only mildly uncomfortable.(losing a breast is painful!) Don't let fear of hearing the words "breast
cancer" keep you from getting an exam. Instead, let the fear of hearing "it's too late" get you there soon!
Please pass this page on to every woman you know, and if you are a woman with a personal web
page, please consider displaying this logo on your site to
promote breast cancer awareness.
