Magnolia was the first Morgan, and full Lippitt, that we purchased in 1991. She is a joy to own, and has been ridden and/or driven by the whole family. She is a truly all round Morgan, who can not only ride and drive, but also cuts cattle (when available as uninvited guests in the pasture) on her own. She is everything one should expect in a Morgan - typey, smart and personality plus. She also produces beautiful and correct foals.
Magnolia had her 4th foal 2/12/00, a bay filly by Jake Mint. Her name is Open Road Anna Caree Moro. Please visit Anna on her page along with our other Morgans. She was purchased by Kristina Swearingen of Nacodoches,TX at 5 months of age. Magnolia's 1995 daughter River Riders Riviera, a full sister to Open Road Carrie Moro, produced a stud colt by River Riders Renegade last year. His name is Music Hill Kahlua. Both mother and son are owned by Music Hill Farm of Monroe, Washington.
Magnolia was bred to M Classic Ideal Image (Marvelous Ideal X Ute Mtn Mona Lisa) in 2002. For many years, I wanted to cross Magnolia with Ideal, but waited too long to do so. I am grateful to Ellie Mason for bringing Classic down to Texas so I can get that "Ideal" cross I had hoped for. Classic was a rich bay with correct conformation and the wonderful Ideal personality. Magnolia foaled Open Road Blaze of Glory on March 1st of 2003. A chestnut with a large white blaze, he is maturing true to the Morgan lines he carries. Visit Blaze on his page.
