My Tilly is not Bombay, I suppose she is "ordinary European" but I was struck by the same name, :). She is 1 and a half, found in a basement when still blind. Very lively and naughty, likes hiding in dark corners and chasing people's shadows. Adores smoke cheese with ham. For a piece of it would do anything, even go to the vet for the injections. Tash is trying to teach her to fetch. Tash is a cat too, learnt to fetch all by herself, fetches small things like soft wire, small toys. Love to Tilly, Mister and Charlie. :)

My Mom didn't know much about me when she adopted me when I was one year old, but she knows now that I'm a Bombay. I'm awfully smart, understand English, talk to my Mom alot [ cranky or not ] and open cupboards and doors so well that she thinks I have ha ds hidden inside my paw ' mittens '. I like to fetch and I like to crawl under the covers at night and snooze next to my Mom. Every morning after she showers I am sitting on the toilet seat waiting for my brush, and if she sleeps through the alarm, I wa e her up. I enjoyed reading your site. My Bombay showed up about a month after being dumped as a kitten on the side of the highway near our house. It took a couple of weeks to be able to touch him but since then he has been the best cat I have ever had.
