This is my 1997 music page

I consider myself to have very good taste in music. On this page I will give you a short paragraph describing each of the certain bands that I particularly enjoy. I will alert you at first that most of the music that I listen to is not in the mainstream. For the most part, you won't usually hear any of my favorite bands on the radio. For this reason, if the band's name appears in RED then you can connect to that band's web site and get ordering details. After the bands that i like, will come a list of groups that I don't like. There will be no liks to these sites. Enjoy the music!

One of my favorite groups is, Evan and Jaron. They have a great sound, and their CD, "Live at KaLo's Coffee House" is excellent. The band is from Atlanta, Georgia. They sound somewhat like Jackopierce, if you know who they are. Mostly, the music is Evan and Jaron, two brothers singing to an acoustic guitar. The CD is awesome, and instructions on ordering can be found at their website!

Another of my favorite bands is Veritcal Horizon. This band is fronted by lead singers Keith Kane, and Matt Scannell. The pair swap lead vocals on different songs. Their sound is awesome, and I strongly suggest the band's three releases; "There and Back Again", "Running On Ice", and the brand new "Live Stages". Vertical Horizon is also featured on the "AWARE 3" compilation.

Perhaps the most well-known of my favorite bands is Edwin McCain. Edwin is from Hilton Head Island, SC (Jules' home). While Edwin's major record label debut, "Honor Among Theives" is excellent, the first album, "Solitude" is the one I prefer. Edwin's music rocks! He is also featured on the "AWARE II" compilation.

Guster is the fourth on my favorite bands list. This is an excellent group with an excellent sound. Two songs, "Window" and "Bury Me" appear on the "AWARE 3" compilation. "Window" also appears on the band's major record label debut, "Parachute". "Bury Me" is soon to be released on a forthcoming album.

The last group I care to mention is Jolene. I first came into contact with the band this summer, where I worked with one of the band members. This prompted me to buy their album, "Hell's Half Acre", which I thoroughly enjoy. I have found this in many record stores nationwide.

These bands suck, in my opinion.
