Zoe Ball was born on the November 23 1970 and attended Holy Cross Convent School in Chalfont St Peter where she was a keen sportswoman.

After a variety of vacation jobs including one as a life guard she began her television career as a runner at Granada Television where she spent four months. Zoe was then promoted to researcher on BSkyB on the children’s programme ‘Cool Cube’.

Zoe then joined Action Time and spent two years as a researcher working on a variety of quiz shows for television. This led to a job as a researcher/assistant producer on the Big Breakfast on Channel 4.

After auditioning for Children’s BBC Zoe landed the task of presenting the ‘birthday slot’, 5 days a week between 10am and 10.30am weekdays on BBC1.

She co- hosted a one off special ‘An Afternoon On The Moon’ to celebrate 25 years since man set foot on the moon.

Zoe was also a regular presenter of CBBC’s music magazine programme on Sunday mornings, ‘The Ozone’ (voted Best Music Show by Smash Hits) and she has also presented the consumer programme Short Change for BBC Children’s Television. She has been a regular co-presenter of the ‘Broom Cupboard’ and has also hosted Playdays.

Zoe is arguably the most exciting female presenters on television and is now presenting Planet 24's 'The Big Breakfast' on weekday mornings.
