Background Info.

Sandra Annette Bullock was born on July 26, 1964, in Washington D.C. as the daughter of American voice coach John Bullock and German opera singer Helga Meyer. She spent her childhood mostly in the States (Arlington, Virginia), Germany (Nuremburg) and Austria, where her mother had engagements. Sandra has lived in the U.S. since she was 12, and she graduated from the Washington-Lee High School in Arlington.

After High School, she went to East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, and studied drama, but left there before graduating. Following a few years in New York and Los Angeles, where she played roles in a few student films, she finally got roles in TV movies and started to make a name for herself in Hollywood.

According to herself, she is 5 ft 7 ½ and her shoe size is 8 ½ . She has a 25-year-old sister named Gesine, who studies law, working with criminals and gang members. One of Sandra’s biggest interests is renovation and home-improvement of her home in Los Angeles, where she is currently living with her sister.

Sandra had a four year relationship with actor Tate Donovan, whom she got to know at the set of Love Potion No. 9. As could be gathered from the press, she was very struck by the end of the relationship in 1994. She has been single since then, but has been seen with quarterback Troy Aikman and was accompanied at the opening of The Net by Don Padilla, who helped in production of that movie. In interviews, she stressed that she isn’t dating any of these men. Her favorite singer is Tom Jones, which nobody to this day has been able to logically explain.

Not only is Sandra beautiful, but she is also smart, at least in the internet realm. Unfortunately, she got her start with a still-existing America Online account, but stopped using that service a while ago due to some stalker finding out who her handle represented. She also uses a MacIntosh PowerBook, which is a device similar to the weaker-model PC’s.

The Movies

In Love Potion No. 9 (1991), she starred together with Tate Donovan in a slightly mystic romantic comedy (which

wasn’t a big hit, but I recommend viewing it) and in The Vanishing (1993) she played the girlfriend of Kiefer

Sutherland and got kidnapped shortly after the beginning of the movie. Luckily, she could be seen more often in

The Thing Called Love (1993), where she played a not very successful country singer, and in Wrestling Ernest

Hemingway (1993) as an attractive coffee shop waitress. At the side of Sylvester Stallone she gathered attention in

Demolition Man (1993). Her role as a police officer in the future, who was fascinated by the 20th century, fit her very well.

Stardom came with Speed (1994), in which she had to drive a bus that must not drive slower than 50 miles per hour, because it would blow up otherwise. She was remembered by anyone who saw the film and supposedly, she will still hear the word ‘bus’ a few times in the years to come.

In While You Were Sleeping (1995) she had the chance to show that she was able to carry a movie - and the

success of the film proved it. The movie topped the US charts a few weeks in the beginning of 1995 and is the romantic comedy of the last few years. WYWS was the most successful movie in Germany in 1995 and thereby beat other films like Die Hard With A Vengeance, Apollo 13 and Waterworld with a total of 3.9 million sold tickets.

In The Net (1995), the second film to have her in the leading role, she portrayed a lonely computer programmer, who was telecommuting and got caught in a nation-wide conspiracy involving the company she worked for. Although not a hit as big as While You Were Sleeping, it did quite well at the box office, mostly due to Sandra’s acting and appeal to the audience.

In the beginning of 1995, she starred together with Denis Leary in Two if by Sea (1996), a romantic comedy about a blue-collar couple that, after stealing a valuable painting, stumbles into the high society in New England. The film opens January 12 in the USA. Meanwhile, she finished work in A Time To Kill (1996), a law thriller based on the novel of the same name by John Grisham and which is directed by Joel Schumacher. Although she only has a supporting role, she was allegedly paid $8 million for it. The film is a drama set in Mississippi about a black father (Samuel L. Jackson) killing the two white men who raped his daughter and who is then asking a lawyer (Matthew McConaughey) to defend him in court.

A Time To Kill is slated for a summer release in the US. B 1996 seems to be a promising year for Sandra, with another two films to be shot. In Kate and Leopold (1996?), she stars as a brilliant scientist who invents a time machine, captures a man from 18th century London and falls in love with him. She will also be producing this movie, which was written by her friend Steven Rogers. For her next role she was allegedly paid around $12 million, giving her the opportunity to not only wrestle Ernest Hemingway In Love and War (1996?), but also to be his muse. Chris O’Donnell co-stars as Ernest Hemingway and Richard Attenborough directs.

Sandra has also signed a contract for Speed 2 (I think everyone knew that this would happen...), but no hard facts are available at the moment. Supposedly, it will take place on a boat, but Sandra’s B participation is dependent on Keanu Reeves also signing up on the project.

No one seems to be able to figure out an email address for Sandra, so snail mail is the only way to get in touch with her so far. Here is where you can contact Sandra:
