Hi
guys and gals!! Hope you are enjoying yourselves surfing in my page. My
name is Eric Liew from Malaysia. I'm 20 years-old and I'm into sports,
guitars, computers and hard rock. My all time favorite bands are GN'R (who
else??), Bon Jovi and Metallica. My obsessions are rock music, guitar,
computers and hanging out!! I do like sports too but rarely got time for
it.You can say that I'm a rock n' roll fan. I like all kinds of rock
music, but not too heavy ones. I do listen to oldies like Roy Orbisson,
Mark Knopfler, Bryan Adams and such.
Some of
my favorite songs, other than the songs by GN'R, Bon Jovi and Metallica,
are 'You Got It' by Roy Orbisson, 'Brothers In Arms' and 'Romeo & Juliet'
by Dire Straits, 'Heaven' and 'Please Forgive Me' by Bryan Adams.
I love
Belinda Carlisle too... beautiful and nice songs. My all time favorite
Belinda songs are 'Live your life be free', 'Summer Rain', 'Half the World',
'Do You Feel Like I Feel' and 'In Too Deep'. Yeah That's right, I am not
a die-hard metal head! Sometimes I do indulge myself into soothing, less-thumping
love songs. Versatile huh me?? :) I'm sure I'm not the only one.... Other
than rock n' roll there're many songs I like. I can't tell you exactly
what songs as there're many, but I can definitely let you know

what kind
of songs I don't like. I'm not into hip-hop funk music, teeny boppers'
tunes and chinese songs!!! I just can't help but getting headache every
time I listen to chinese songs in the car.
I was asked this
question countless times... Why do I like Guns N' Roses?
After laying low
for such a long long time, I'm quite certain that they've probably splited.
But still I think they're the best and no other bands can take over their
place. No, I didn't like GN'R just to show that I'm cool. In fact, I was
quite opposed to them when I first heard of them when I was 13. Mainly
because they cursed in their songs, they sang about sex, drugs and crime
and such. All in all I didn't like their guts at first.
Then on a Sunday
afternoon in 1992 I bought my first ever Guns N' Roses album, 'Use Your
Illusion 2'. I didn't know why I bought it but I just did and the impact
of that purchase utterly changed my life. From then on I started listening
a lot to GN'R and playing their songs.
So what have the
guys from L.A. got that catches my attention? Well, first of all, THEY
WROTE AND PLAY THEIR OWN MUSIC, which is what it takes to be a genuine
artist right? Secondly, they're not ashamed to express themselves. At first
I wasn't use to their swearing and songs about sex drugs and crime. But
later on I realized: That's life, isn't it?
I admire their integrity
about the reality of life, and not drifting in the virtuality of a perfect
world in their music.
And
Slash, who can ever forget about him? All in all each and everyone in the
band is special in their own ways. Today I've already collected all their
albums plus some of their live concert albums and posters. And the 'Use
Your Illusion 2' cassette I bought 5 years ago is still here.
To all you guys
out there : Have you listen to GN'R lately? Well, for your information
the band is already 12 years-old. Time passes by real quickly I must say,
but not their music. They still sound as good as they were years ago.
I guess you've had
enough with GN'R already huh? That's all I have to say anyway. To all the
GN'R fans: Thank you.
