THE EMERALD HEART 7/27/90 This episode introduces the main characters. Tressa returns to her mother's home with her young son, Jim. Jim has had problems in the North and she hopes living in the small Southern town of Houma will help him. Meanwhile, she has a problem of her own when her mother tells her how she was given an emerald pendant and then lost it. Jim explores the swamp and meets Swamp Thing, with whom he bonds and then, later, meets Oboe, another new friend. Dr. Arcane and his experiments are shown. Is he evil, mad or just misdirected? w.
