Just today I accidently ran into a whole movie crew in Pasadena, California. In front of City Hall there, a lot of commotion was going on, cop cars, police, news media, I thought it was about the abortion pill that has just been approved for women! Inste d, it was the taping of a new movie "SIMONE", which meant nothing to us, so I got up my nerve to ask a crew member who was starring in this movie? His reply? AL PACINO!! I, of course, got all excited, nervous and very anxious to see him through the cro d, the nice man took the time to point him out to me under the big, white umbrella, where he sat very intense (in character), I looked him over, seen he is alot shorter than he appears in his movies, but still one of the most facinating to look at, better yet 50' in front of me! My husband and I had the pleasure of becoming a couple of bystanders and that was very exciting. I couldn't stop thinking about him all the way home, I told my husband to go rent all the Godfather video's. It's a definate 'AL P CINO MARATHON' tonight!!

I just recently discovered Al Pacino...ya know how it is, young people are so exposed to the gen-x teen actors that you barely remember there are other fantastic, skilled, not to mention totaly humble actors out there who can wow you with j st their presence in any movie. I think it's cool that you got to meet him - so many actors today are so egotistical and undeserving of everything they have, but Al isn't like that, and it's good to find someone who hasn't let fame go to his head.

They didn't call him "THE ACTOR" for naught. The greatest there has even been or ever will be. With the possible exception of Robert Blake in, "In Cold Blood", Pacino, is the only actor, who has ever caused me to become so absorbed, with his charactizati n, I forgot I was watching a movie. For instance, Tony Montana, I hated with a passion! Felt such compassion for Lionel (Scarecrow), Ivan (Author! Author!) and yes, even Sonny (Dog Day Afternoon)...wouldn't you, with a wife like Angie? ....and the so th list goes. "Revolution" was Pacino's 13th movie...maybe that's why the box office wasn't so good...I personally liked it...thought the editing wasn't the greatest though. Keep checking your TV Guide, Kim..."Me, Natalie" comes on once in awhile, but be w rned, Al Pacino is only on screen, for about sixty seconds, if that. First thing I do each week, is check the TV Listings, for Pacino movies...his are the only ones I'll watch more than once. If, by chance Al Pacino should read these comments, I would say, a very Happy 60th Birthday, you are not getting older..(age is only a state of mind, anyway)..but better, and I didn't think that was possible, when you are already the best. Any time you wa t blueberry..newtons, wasn't it?..you can park your shoes under our table, and chat...we may be fans...but know you put your socks on, one foot at a time, like the rest of mankind!! Al Pacino is one of my favorites.!  Quite possibly, the best of the male actors and there is some serious competition (Nickolson, DeNiro, Hoffman).  I can't decide which "Godfather" movie I liked best and which one I liked Al s acting in the most.  I must say that the end of Godfather III brings me to tears every time I see it.  Michael never wanted in the business and spent his whole life trying to get out.  The death of his daughter is just so d mn sad.  I love "Scent of a Woman" and "The Devil's Advocate" too.  I've watched both a number of times and I usually don't watch a movie more than once.

Iam a big admirer of Al.s movie's. Heat was the best movie that he has been in at least in my eye's. But the role he play's in in The Devil's Advocate is my favorite charcter, i mean i any movie. I loved John Milton. Not becuase he's the devil but he was ust so cool, in his black suite's and his attitude was just far out not to mention very funny. My favorite scene is where Milton does a Flamenco dance, i happen to like that kind of music and i just thought it was so cool to see al dancing to a latin flav r music. Well i hope he makes just as good off movie's as he has. I look up to him as being one of the most tlanted actor's this world ever had.

ok, I know he will never see this--but my question to him is this--How come you don't like Italian women???? Now that I have that out of my system I will say that Pacino is by far, one of, if not the greatest living actor of stage and screen. I dragged myself with the flu to his production of " American Buffalo" at the Wilbur theatre in Boston many years ago. Tremendous! I hope to get to NY to see "The ICeman Cometh" also. Ok- I will admit that I have not seen that many Al Pacino movies- but the ones that I have seen, I have really liked. (Although Sofia Copolla stunk up Godfather III pretty bad). And I know that it is completely unoriginal that Godfather is my favorite m vie of his- but he was so handsome and his charecter was still (for the most part) so sweet and almost noble. I was disgusted with him at the end of part two for having Fredo whacked! Where is the loyalty?!
