Joe Lando

Joe Lando worked as a chef while seeking acting jobs on the side prior to landing the role of Jake Harrison in the daytime drama One Life to Live. That led to an assignment as a rather specialized technical advisor, coaching Tracey Ullman and Kevin Kline on how to spin pizza for the film, I Love You to Death.

Joe Lando was born in Chicago, grew up in Prairie View, Illinois, and studied with acting coach Vincent Chase in Los Angeles. His recent television credits include the films Shadows of Desire with Nicollette Sheridan, on the CBS Television Network, Any Place but Home, and Alien Nation: The Enemy Within. Among his feature film credits are Star Trek IV and the upcoming Seeds of Doubt. He also appeared in CBS's Guiding Light, in segments taped during a hiatus from Dr. Quinn in 1994, and as a guest star on The Nanny, also on the CBS Network, and The John Larroquette Show. His birth date is December 9.

Joe is now married to his long-time girlfriend Kirsten Barlow and they have just celebrated the birth of their first child, Jack Neville Lando on June 3 1998.
