If you like stories about the very distant past, Ireland, Celtic tribes, early Christianity, really great looking Princes, and the Roman Empire, you are going to love this show.

It is set in 400AD in what we know as Ireland. The few remaining Celtic tribes are fighting to keep thier Island out of Roman control. Their leader is 20 year old Conor, an orphaned Prince, whose parents and the woman he loved were killed by an evil King and the Roman Queen Diana.

Conor has sworn to fight for his people and their freedom, and unit the land against the Romans. Conor is aided by his long time friend and (father) King Derek’s champion, Fergus. He is a legendary warrior who is lustful, loyal and can drink any man under the table. Fergus is tough on the outside by a puppy underneath. They are joined by two others, Catlin and Tully.

Catlin, once a Roman slave, was the held prisoner by an wicked King. Now she is free, she is a valuable member of the team, she is beautiful, strong-willed and fearless fighter. However, underneath she has a remarkable compassion for humanity. Tully is a charming, cocky teen who likes to get in trouble. Tully is a master horseman, good with a bullwip and eager to prove himself in battle.

Their major enemy is Queen Diana, who want the island al to herself and will do anything the get it. Her beauty and sensuality are formidable, but her capacity for evil is greater still. Her advisor and lover is Longinus, appearing as a handsome 30 year-old man but is really a 400 year Roman Centurion. He was made imortal in shame because he killed Jesus with the (Spear of Destiny).

All together they make for an interesting, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, but always entertaining combination. If you haven’t seen it, watch it, if you have keep watching, because it can only get better.
