Why Geocities Can Go F#@% Themselves Today!
Do not read this if you are under the age of 5 or offended by freedom of speech or "bad" words.
Geocities is a money hungry, mindless corporation that unfairly persecutes 1000's of people on the internet simply because they want a free homepage. I am sick and tired of being an obedient slave to them...for over a year now I've complied to all their rules and standards for what an "appropriate" home page should be and what do I get in return?? Being treated like a fool for one thing. Not to mention the barrage of ugly, time consuming, computer freezing ads that geocites uses to "earn" even more money at the expense of the general internet-using public. I was willing to put up with Geocities usual tactic of screwing around with your page without your permission and then informing you weeks later via e-mail of their new "FABULOUS PROGRAM" to generate more traffic for other money-hungry corporations sites (ha, never your own)..but today was the last straw. Yet another pointless and moronic ad was placed on my page... I know there are other geocites "members" who have this new ad on their page. Let me ask you- Does this enhance the overall look of your page? Of course it bloody well doesn't. But tough shit...becuause when Geocities wants something, it'll screw over anyone in the process (including you and me). I made the stupid mistake of spending hours and hours creating a internet site that I could be proud of and other people could hopefully appreciate...only to have it spoiled by Geocities for no good reason whatsoever. Well, I've had it. I don't care if what i've written here is sent to Geocities and they start to get all pissy because i'm telling it like it is. I don't even care if you don't like it- It's something I want to say.

Only 5 hours (according to my watch) since Geocities put up another pointless self-promotional ad, they've removed it and replaced it with (oh joy!) that good old pop-up ad we love so much. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
