Not- "Scream Again" Like planned!

Release Date is December 12, 1997 !!!!!!

Yes here it comes, December 12th. Originally it was going to come out December 19th, but that is the day that "Tomorrow Never Dies" and "The Titanic" movies come out. And to avoid the competition, they changed it!! So Get Ready To Watch IT!!!!
Jada Pinkett, Jerry O' Connell, Portia de Rossi Jada Pinkett's role in the movie will be similar to Drew Barrymore's in the first movie. Jada will have the opening sequence role. From what I hear, Jada gets so frightened she "loses her head". Sounds pretty gory and yet cool! One of the rumored actresses who may join the cast is Reese Witherspoon. Reese played Nicole in the suspense thriller FEAR. Another rumor is that Cameron Diaz may join the cast! The sequel to SCREAM will take place two years after the original. The story line follows Sidney to college where she lives in a dorm. After being in jail, Cotton Weary is finally released. Gale Weathers has written a book called "STAB" which depicts the events which occured two years ago. The book becomes a movie in which Tori Spelling plays Sidney Prescott. After the release of the movie, the murders begin again!

A Letter From The Director

Greetings Everyone, We're in our second week of shooting SCREAM II, and despite incredible odds, are on schedule. First, it's been the wettest spring/summer for 20 years, so every day's weather forecast contains the words "thunder showers." Secondly, we've lost a full day's work due to the negative being destroyed during transport between here and Los Angeles. Third, a weird Easterly wind has been blowing ("usually doesn't blow that way" is the local refrain), so the flight pattern of Atlanta's hub airport has been re-directed over our primary shooting location, so the sound is continuous and deafening - 54 airplanes per hour during the worst of the times! Still, we're getting incredible footage, and I really feel SCREAM II is going to be as good as or better than SCREAM I. As you know many of the original cast members are back: Nev, Courtney, David, Jamie - and there are a huge number of new and extremely talented and fun cast members as well.: Liev Schreiber, Jerry O'Connell, Elise Neal, Tim Olyphant, Duane Martin, Rebecca Gayheart, Portia deRossi - and many others too secret to mention! It's a fantastic cast. Due to the scheduling nightmares of getting Nev and Courtney finished in time to get back to their TV series, preproduction has been cut in half, and everything is going forward with a manic speed that makes even my early low-budget films seem tame. Still, everyone is digging everyone, the script is great, and the location is solid too, so we're getting the first elements of a great second movie. I'll speak more to you when I return to L.A. after the 4th of July.
Best Wishes,
Wes Craven.
