And now for your yearly update! (HappyThanksgivingMerryChristmasHappyNewYearHappyValentine'sDayHappySt.Patrick'sDay, while I'm at it!) I was having a "Regress to My Early Teens" Moment about a week ago and watched Newsies so that I could at least have a decent ending to a stressful day. And that's when it occurred to me that I had done nothing to this site in way too long. So here's what I've got for you this time around ...

And I think that's it for now! -- Liz

Okay, so after a year's absence, I think I'm back. :) We lost the email account temporarily, but it's in working order again. Any news, photos, or queries about "Where the heck have ya'll been??" can be sent to abs_aaron@hotmail.com. And you can soon catch Aaron as he plays 'Steve' in the film version of Rent, which opens in the U.S. on November 11, 2005. -- Liz
P.S. If you haven't seen Christian Bale in Batman Begins yet, I'd highly recommend a viewing or two. Excellent movie. 'Jack Kelly' is all grown up, and looking good!

Hey all! So I come back from my annual week-long stint as a jr. high camp counselor (I've been going for six years now - my former room charges are now junior counselors, which is making me feel a little old) to find a couple of useful emails in our inbox. Yay! Aaron Fan Sara took her friend to see "Bare" as a birthday gift, and they came away with a very nice experience and a really nice photo. I've added the photo to The Shrine, and her experience is going in Seen and Heard, along with comments by another Fan, Aimee. Also, news from AF Sarah is that Aaron is no longer with the Osbrink Agency, and hasn't been for a while now. Which means that now I have no idea where you can try to get hold of him. So here's hoping that a member of the Lohr family will contact us at some point in the near future ... AF Aimee also contributed a new link to help you get more info about "Bare": thebarees.com. So go check it out when you get a chance. Thanks, ladies, for all your help! Until the next update -- Liz

Okay, okay - you all have my profuse apologies for neglecting this site for so long! Life is crazy, and I'm doing good to keep up with myself! I do have a few things to add, including photos that were sent in several months ago, and some other miscellaneous stuff. Until I can get to it (my computer at home is not going to stay connected too much longer, with my luck), here's something to check out (thanks to Carrie): barepopopera.com - the official website of Aaron's current play. According to the site, the play is on hiatus, but will be back on September 21. Check out the cast page for Aaron's latest publicity photo. More to come ASAP. Take care! - Liz

MG got an email today ... from Aaron's brother David, no less. So, in his own words:

Just wanted to pass on a little information for my brother, Aaron. He will be playing the role of Matt in a new off-Broadway musical (pop operetta to be specific) called bare, that opens late March. It is being produced by the same team that produced urinetown and will be performed at the American Theater of Actors, where urinetown first opened. The story revolves around five main characters who attend a private Catholic prep school and deals with issues that exist in young life today. It is a powerful, inventive piece that definitely pushes the envelope. So, tell your friends and go see it.

There ya go! If you're in the NYC area, you can find directions to the theatre here. As always, if you've got any noteworthy Aaron news to share with us (or you just want to drop me a line to say hi), send it to abs_aaron@hotmail.com. Everybody take care! - Liz

Greetings, everyone! Hopefully you have all survived the Holidays intact, and if you're lucky enough to still be on a school schedule, that you're enjoying your Winter Break! I had a few days off work to enjoy, so I shopped, contracted a very annoying cold (at least it's not the flu) and saw "Return of the King" twice. :D !! Update !! Thanks to Aaron fan Carrie, we have a new mailing address at which you can contact him. Send your fan mail to:

Aaron Lohr
c/o Osbrink Talent Agency
4343 Lankershim Blvd. Suite 100
Universal City, CA 91602

Carrie also commented that I’ve talked with Aaron a couple of times and he is always amazed (in a pleasant way, of course!) to hear that he has fans who are constantly thinking of him. :). Thanks again, Carrie! See you all in 2004! - Liz

Only 10 more days until Christmas, and just as I was wracking my brain this morning trying to figure out what I could do for a Holiday Update, an email from Aaron fan Becky saved the day! She wrote in with an Aaron Encounter that I have posted in Aaron: Seen & Heard. Hopefully we'll be able to add some photos from that encounter soon! Hope everyone has a blessed Holiday Season!

No actual news, I'm just saying Happy Anniversary! to myself, as this day is the 6th year mark for "Absolutely Aaron". Woohoo! For those of you who don't know, MG and I started this site back in the Stone Age when we were 18-year old college freshmen with lots of free time on our hands. I came up with our snappy name on my way to Chem Lab, as a matter of fact (I d Chemistry, and obviously didn't concentrate on it very hard). MG just hit the quarter-century mark a few weeks ago, and I'll be turning 25 on Sunday. We're getting old!

I just ran a Google on Aaron a few minutes ago, but no mention of what he's up to nowadays ... Anyone else notice Newsies alum David Moscow in the previews for the upcoming movie "Honey"? He plays the bad guy, apparently. I swear he looks more and more like Tom Hanks every year. -- Liz

Due to being bored at work, I've updated the Aaron Background page with a few new links. I'm going to look at upgrading to GeoCitiesPro sometime soon, as all this "Transfer Limit Reached" junk is getting annoying! It really is time for this site to get a serious overhaul, but at the moment I haven't got the time or know-how ... any volunteers?? :) Also, I'm dealing with something I didn't expect - two of the computers I regularly use have filters on them that leave out words that they consider unacceptable. Now, I do believe that filters are good - nobody needs to look at that junk anyway, in my own humble opinion (don't let me ever get started on women objectifying themselves LOL!). But these filters are kind of ridiculous, and I'm missing words in the text of several of the blocks of copy on this site. Not a big deal if you don't have to deal with the filters yourself, since the words show up for you. But, as I was copying and transferring text this afternoon, several of the passages I copied were missing words, and I'm not sure if they made the transfer, and half the time I couldn't figure out what word went in there anyway! So, if you come across a blank space or a sentence is quite obviously missing a word, please just subsitute whatever your little heart desires and keep reading! -- Liz

Wow - eight months pass and I'm just now updating. Sorry! I was watching "Sister Sister" this evening and it was an episode with Aaron playing Marlon - funny. :) I haven't actually got a whole lot to update you on ... Aaron is apparently done with "Radiant Baby", and a Broadway site I was just looking at lists him as "previously seen in". I did get an email from someone recently saying that she'd spotted him in a new commercial. Since I hardly ever get to watch TV anymore, I've missed seeing it so far. Anyone else seen it? Would you like to update me?

January 7, 2003
Greetings, earthlings! I have finally returned with a few update-worthy notes!

... Aaron is apparently no longer a cast member of "The Full Monty." The show goes on, but Aaron has moved in a different direction. According to a press release on Broadway.com, he will be part of the cast of a new musical titled Radiant Baby, which centers on the life of pop art artist Keith Haring. The production is scheduled to begin previews at the Public Theater in New York on January 31. (Thanks to Allison for alerting us!)

... Daydream Believers - The Monkees Story will shortly be available on DVD (or it could be that it's already available, but Amazon.com isn't shipping it out until March 25). You can pre-order it for just $11.24 (USD). According to Aaron fan Lacy, Micky Dolenz's (the real one) commentary is pretty darn funny, especially when he is commenting on Aaron.

... And lastly, I ran across a few pics that include Aaron in some ensemble shots from his pre-Full Monty production, Corpus Christi. They're from a site called barethemusical.com. You can view the pics in our Aaron Shrine.

Ok, here's the deal on that TheSpark.com thing - you have to visit the site and click to take "The Test", and at the end it'll tell you to list the man you'd most like to sleep with. That's Aaron. *g* Anyways. In case you're wondering, I'm like 11% , which makes me 98% more pure than the rest of the world. I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing. Also, I've got a story to add to our page, and I promise it'll be up SOON! Keep checking back to see. :) And, unless I end up going for a masters in a couple of years, this was my last day of classes EVER! I'm only a little excited, as you can tell. -- Liz
