Julia Ormond

Julia Ormond was born on 4th January 1965 which makes her 33 years old. Place of birth was Epsom, Surrey, just south of London, England. She was the second eldest of five children to Josephine and John Ormond.

The first time I saw her was in the TV-movie "Young Catherine" which came out in 1991, before that she had played in a couple of plays and a series called "Traffik", anyway her performance was excellent and she played in "Stalin" 1992.

Julia's first 'real' movie was "The Baby of Macon" 1993 and she played in "Captives" and "Nostradamus" in 1994. But her real tickets for stardom were the three movies "Legends of the Fall", "First Knight" and "Sabrina", which came out within the following 2 years.

Her latest apperance was in "Smilla's Sense of Snow" in which she played Smilla, the movie got mixed reviews but most people (including me) agree that Julia's performance was excellent (as always).

The last year Julia has been in Russia and filming "The Barber of Siberia", perhaps it will hit the cinemas sometime in late 1998. I hope this will be the ultimate Julia Ormond movie.
