Smilla's Sense of Snow (1997)

Genre: Thriller
In this movie Julia plays the role as Smilla Jaspersen, an half Inuit who lives in Copenhagen. When a boy in her house falls from the roof she suspects that something is wrong. She sets off on a quest to find the truth...but it's harder than she'd ever thought...
You just have to see this movie...It is Julia's best performance so far because her role is so different her other roles (according to my opinion that is).

Sabrina (1995)

Genre: Romantic comedy
Sabrina (Julia Ormond) is in love with David Larrabee but he doesn't notice her until she comes home from a trip to Paris. He falls in love with her too. But before that, during her trip to Paris he has already decided to marry the daughter to a rich businessman. Linus Larrabee(Harrison Ford) is doing everything to get Sabrina out of the way, so he can sign a fusion between his company and the rich businessman's.
This movie is good and Julia is lovely.

This movie is quite good, and Julia's acting is great.

Genre: Romance, drama
Julia plays the role as Susannah against Brad Pitt, Aidan Quinn and Anthony Hopkins in this movie.
Susannah is the love of the three Ludlow boys and when the youngest, Samuel dies in World War 1 the family is bound to tear apart.
It is quite good, and Julia's acting is great (like always).

In this movie Julia plays the role as Rachel, a dentist who gets a job in a prison and soon falls in love with one of the prisoners(Tim Roth). They can only meet each other briefly to keep their relationship a secret. But they are discovered by another prisoner who starts to blackmail Rachel...

Young Catherine (1991)

Genre: Historical drama
Julia plays Catherine, a young girl from Germany who is set to marry the soon to be czar, Peter. Peter however gets insane and starts to hate Catherine. When Empress Elizabeth of Russia dies Catherine takes the throne instead of Peter and becomes Catherine the Great.
This is Julia's first movie, but already here she's excellent.

This was just Julia's most important roles but she has also played in Nostradamus(1994), The Baby of Macon(1993), Stalin(1992) and a series called Traffik.
