I had heard much about a very well known carver in Old Pascua, Arizona, his name is Frank Martinez otherwise known as Chico. Chico is a pascola but has been having difficulties with his health so he hasnt been dancing but still resumes carving. Chico's styles are what can I say but out of this world, he keeps the conventions of the pascola mask but adds his own wild imaginative flair. His masks are decorative but they have been known to be danced. I acquired two masks from Chico, one carved by him and one by his son who is following in his father's
