Hello and welcome ...

I'm Jerry Hawkins and I'm a Tulsa Songwriter.  I've been writing and composing music for many years and have entertained in nightclubs and worked on television.  Songs such as I'd Be In Heaven In A Truck and Lord I Was Born To Ride A Harley.  Mean Machine and For When You're Feelin Blue.  Working in studios such as Sunset West years ago and Longbranch Studios and Infinity Studios and more  recording songs I've written over the years.
I really enjoy singing for audiences and working up something different and new to entertain with.  I was pretty much raised on folk music and rock and roll.  Starting out early in life with classical piano, Beethoven, Rosini, Bach, etc.,  then later working  into Elton John, Billy Joel and Leon Russell and Meatloaf's Jim Steinmen's keyboard stylings and music.  I  never stopped  learning about and from  the multi - facited experience called "Music".

Way back in high school, there was a contest on KAKC AM Radio here in Tulsa.  It was called "The Duke of Earl" Contest.  We were to draw a portrait
of what we thought the Duke of Earl looked like.  I won Ist place and in doing so, I won all the record albums ever recorded by Mr. Jimmy Reeves. I booked it down to Bill's "T" records and picked them all up!  I began learning about  "The Blues" from that point on.
