First of all, kudos to the creator of this site. It's really fabulous. Secondly, I must say that Ingrid Bergman was the best actress there has ever been. Her radiant beauty and incredible acting ability make every single one of her movies an event. I wish that I could congradulate her on her success and tell her how impressed I am by who she was. And one last thing-the scandal involving her and Roberto Rosselini should not have been a scandal. People follow their hearts and her heart led her away from her usband. I saw my first Ingrid Bergman movie in 1978 (The Bells of St. Mary's) and have been her #1 fan every since. I have several of her movies on video tape and watch my favorite ones over and over again. Her real life has fascinated me as well and I have rea many books about her.

Ingrid Bergman was an absolutely glorious actress. She was so incredibly beautiful, and it was natural beauty, not Hollywood fixed up beauty. She was so completely kind and down to earth as a person, and so entirely unconcieted. As an actress she was amazing!!! If you watch, you can see it all in Ingrid's face, her expressions and reactions are just beautiful and so believeable and touching. That is why I especially like "For Whom the Bell Tolls". One of the last scenes with Cary Grant when he is persuading her to leave is heartbreaking. It is Stunning acting. As I went through the guest book I was so suprised to see many younger people were aware of Ingrid Bergman, and I think that is wonderful because you can't find actresses like her anymore and you can't find films like the ones made during her era. Those were some of the best films, and definently the best actors and actresses!
