Well it happened this weekend I met possibly the sexiest man ever... TOM EPLIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday morning my friend Josh and I drove to Middletown, NY to meet Tom (Jake from the former Another World now of As The World Turns). I have been a long time fan of his and badly wanted to meet him. We got to the motel early so we found the mall where Tom would be the next day and just chilled.

Saturday we got up really early and went to the mall at 10 when it opened. We were the first people there obviously and we met some people from SOAR that were in charge of the event. They invited us to the luncheon that would take place before Tom signed for everyone at the mall. So we helped set up and then went to the lucheon.

Tom was stuck in traffic but as good as he looks he can do whatever he wants. Finally he came. It was a dream come true. He did a question and answer thing. We found out a lot of scoop and behind the scenes stuff. He was hilarious. He did some imitations of people and made fun of Passions. It was great. He even unzipped his pants to show us something he did at an awards show one year---that was nice. He spent an hour with us at the lucheon.

Well then we headed down to the center court of the mall. I was one of the first in line. When it was my turn, I handed him some chocolate that we brought him from Chocolate World (Hershey) since I live like 5 minutes from there. He was so flattered that I would drive all that way to see him. He opened the chocolate and started eating it. The SOAR folks took a picture to go on the internet (check www.soar8.org in a few days). Then, I gave him this picture frame/recorder that I got and he recorded a message to me It says: "Amber, you are just as sweet in person as the chocolate you brought me all the way from Hershey Pennsylvania. It was a pleasure meeting you and have a good day". I spazed out. Then he signed my shirt, book and a picture. Josh got some autographs also. SOAR took a polariod picture of me and him. Josh took a bunch also. I used up a whole roll on Tom. They turned out awesome. He was so nice and appreciative.

However the greatest moment occured later. After it was all over about 3 hours later he was leaving and all these people were crowded around him trying to shake his hand and say good-bye and everything and he found me, looked me right in the eye, waved and said "Bye Amber, have a safe trip back to Hershey. Thanks for the chocolate." I couldn't believe he remembered my name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I said, "Bye Tom. I hope you enjoy the chocolate." Then, I ran over to Josh and screamed "He remembered my name!!!!!!!!' Meeting Tom Eplin was the greatest experience ever.

back to i met tom!
