Who is One White Tiger?

One White Tiger is otherwise known as Brett A. Burkholder. He is a 35-year old white male (human). Though not born in Georgia, he considers himself a semi-native, having spent over 20 years in the Atlanta area. He is curious about most everything and most interested in science, especially biology, science fiction, and movies.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

He Graduated from South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, GA. (No kidding!) After a miserable two years at MIT studying biology (AKA Course 7), he came back to Atlanta. While working full time at several places, including seven years at CIBA Vision as a chemical technician, Brett finished his B.S. degree in Applied Biology at Georgia Tech. (Click here to hear the Ramblin' Wreck Song). He is presently a Ph.D. candidate in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Emory University. His present research project concerns the identification of two putative mitochondrial kinases in the yeast genome. His research interests include molecular modeling, bioinformatics, and the ethics of cloning.

Some of the other jobs Brett has held include working as a cook and assistant manager at J.R. Cricket's Restaurant, an appoinment setter for Shop-n-Chek, a "secret shopper" provider, and a grocery store bag boy. Though his present training is in molecular biology, he currently is considering a change of career to the motion picture industry, specifically in screenwriting and producing, to satisfy his growing need for creative stimulation.
