During two summer weeks in Northeastern Oregon, a group of independent filmmakers reconvened at the site of their first feature film production to make another.

The plan was to shoot a classic American movie. There would be a cool hero, a beautiful woman, fast cars, guns, and the wide-open highway...

It would be called Dog Story.

It's the tale of a young couple that lost the American Dream - and their one last chance at getting it back...

And it may surprise you.

Because it appears to be the story of two desperate people who take to the road to free themselves from a mobster's odious obligation.

But it's really about a husband and wife whose marriage is slipping away, and who discover that a mobster's dangerous bidding just may be their last, best hope at putting their lives back together.

Their errand is to retrieve a mysterious satchel.

Their journey is of finding each other.

It's about two people fighting for love and the dream of something better.

And while the landscape may not exactly be real, it is unmistakable, because in the end it's a fairy tale. A contemporary American fairy tale. With a cool hero. A beautiful woman.

And... a dog?

Well, there is a reason we call it Dog Story. And that's the other part that might surprise you. In fact, we guarantee it.

But only if you watch the movie...
