The newest "Crow" movie is set to begin production on February 15 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The film, scripted by Chip Johannessen, is being directed by Bharat Nalluri and will star Eric Mabius and Kirsten Dunst. Mabius plays Alex Corvis, a man wrongly convicted of murder and sentenced to death. After returning from the dead he meets Erin Randall (Dunst), the daughter of the woman he was convicted of murdering. The two team up to find the real killer.
This installment will be a large departure from the last two "Crow" movies. The long hair, face painting and black outfits are gone and are replaced by short hair, scars and a prison jumpsuit. The new film also features a distinctivly younger cast. Director Nalluri has said: "I'd like to do a young Crow. I'd like to bring it down so all the actors were 16, 18, 21. Make old people bad. Make young people good."
"Salvation" is expected to be in postproduction for the rest of the year and should be released in spring of 2000.
