I had the pleasure of meeting Lisa Loeb at Mixfest '97. She was funny, down to earth and really seemed to appreciate her fans.

- A Letter From Lisa To Her Fans
- Hello everyone! I hope that you are having an allergy-free spring time; enjoying the Dogwood, Cherry Blossoms, and Crepe Myrtle. I know that I am. I am in Ashville, NC getting ready to do a show with my band, Nine Stories: Joe Quigley on bass, Ronny Crawford on drums, and Mark Spencer on electric guitar. Sarah McLachlan asked us to go on tour with her this spring, and we've been having a wonderful time. I want to thank you for coming to the shows and singing along- I hear you out there. I know who you are and I know what you are doing. After the shows with Sarah, we will be headlining shows- so check out the schedule on the Internet. Dweezil Zappa has also joined me as a "special" guest, playing guitar and lassoing unicorns- so look out for more ... This weekend I hung out in Vancouver, B.C. and played an acoustic show. The next night I went to the Juno awards- the Canadian Grammy's. I hung out with Canadian musicians, like Ron Sexsmith, and played old Bowie songs on the piano. Fun. Mark Spencer, the guitar player in the band, is sitting near me on the tour bus, watching "Mannix" on direct TV. He thought that I should answer some often-asked questions for y'all. Me: Okay, Mark what are the questions? Mark: Are you doing Lilith Fair this summer? Me: Yep, we are. I am not sure of the dates yet, but look for them on the Internet. Mark: Do you ever date any of your fans? Or would you consider it? Me: Um. That is kind of personal. Mark (who is now watching "The Six Million Dollar Man"): What's the deal with Candie's? Me: Well, Candie's is sponsoring our tour dates with Sarah M. They are making it possible to tour around the United States and parts of Canada. They have a bunch of contests and promotional events where I can sing, sign autographs, and meet lots of fans. The fans that show up are really friendly and give me cookies and other treats. Mark: Do you really wear Candie's shoes? Me: Yep, I do. The tennis shoes are comfortable, and the mules always remind me of the sexy shoes that Olivia Newton-John wore in "Grease". Mark: What are your political leanings? Me: I am a Democrat. Mark: What is your favorite color? Me: Pink. Light pink- a powdery color. COOL FACT: I got a little electric guitar- pink, of course- with a speaker in it and Hello Kitty stickers all over it for my birthday!! Mark: What is your favorite animal? Me: What do you think? Mark: A unicorn? Me: No, a cat. Mark: So you are a pink cat. Me: In the words of Terry Gabis, "Whatever floats your boat..." Mark: What is your favorite bird? Me: I don't know- maybe a pink flamingo. "Sparrow". I like that word. Okay. Enough with the questions. I am going inside to get ready to play the show. I hope that we will see you on the road. Check out the new merchandise- they make great gifts for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Arbor Day, and anyday. Also, sorry if you had any problems with receiving items that you ordered already. I think that they are trying to fix them. Happy Spring- Lisa.
