RECAP: Lucky sang "Elizabeth" to Liz on stage at the last concert before the summer ended. Liz and Lucky said good-bye as Liz was getting ready to move to New York for college.

Liz hurried up the stairs, praying that she hadn't missed Lucky's phone call yet. She'd been in New York for three months now, Lucky had always called her every Sunday night at about 9 o'clock. He had came to visit her a couple of times during those three months, and Liz had also gone back to Port-Charles a couple of times when Nikolas went home. Liz had gradually got used to the fast paced life of a busy college student. Especially one who also worked in the theater department. Her roommate, Molly, was a sophomore music major from Oklahoma. They'd became fast friends upon meeting because of their mutual admiration for the theater. Molly had set her sights on going into musical theater when she decided to major in vocal performance. Liz wasn't sure if it was her imagination or not, but it seemed to her that Nikolas seemed to have become very fond of Molly. He visited as often as he could even with the busy courses in Columbia. On the other hand, Nikolas was in no way an ordinary student so he probably didn't need as much time to study as others. He'd often come visit Liz, and stick around even when Liz had to leave. Liz smiled at the thought of Nikolas dating Molly. It would actually be really cool. Two of her closest friends as an item, that should be interesting, she thought. Liz thought of how Nikolas had upon several occasions helped her and Lucky see through some crisis of their own. She was ready to return the favor.

Liz: Oh, You hopeless romantic, you!

Liz mumbled to herself as she dropped her heavy coat and scarf on her bed. The answering machine light was not blinking. Maybe she didn't miss Lucky's call. she glanced over to the clock, it's 15 after 9. Lucky has never been more than 5 minutes later than 9 o'clock on their usual phone call. Perhaps he ran late at the studio just like she ran late at the theater? Liz had just gotten the turtleneck over her head when she heard the knock on the door.

Liz: Hold on, I'll be right there!

Liz pulled a sweater over her head, and trod over to the door. More than likely it's Nikolas. Liz smiled as she reached for the doorknob.

Liz: It's just me tonight............

Liz's words flew right out of her head as she was swept into a kiss by the person standing in front of her door. It was simply delicious. Her feet didn't feel like they were on the ground by the time the kiss ended.

Lucky: Sorry I was late.

Liz couldn't speak for the longest time. Seeing that cocky smile on Lucky's face almost melted her heart. Before she realized it, they were sitting down at the foot of her bed. Lucky's arms tightly around her, his smile still wide on his face.

Liz: Lucky......How.......
Lucky: I drove up here.
Liz: But....
Lucky: I don't have any classes tomorrow. My Professors have a conference.
Liz: How .............
Lucky: I can stay till about noon tomorrow, I have a meeting with the producers tomorrow night.

Liz's mouth stayed open trying to think of something to say. Lucky's grin got wider. Liz finally started laughing.

Liz: I see you've picked up some mind reading skills of your own!
Lucky encircled Liz's neck with his arms, teasing.

Lucky: In the words of a beautiful woman, it's not that hard when it's you.

Liz stood up on her tip toes and returned the kiss Lucky gave her just moments ago. They linked their fingers as they leaned against each other. Lucky took a string of Liz's hair between his fingers with the other hand that rested comfortably on Liz's shoulder, slowly stroking it while they talked.

Lucky: You didn't think I would forget our weekly phone call, did you?
Liz: No, I just thought maybe you were running late like I was.
Lucky: I wanted to surprise you. Why were you running late?
Liz: We were remaking the dreamcoat.
Lucky: The dreamcoat........
Liz: Yeah, Musical theater department is doing the show "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," and we had to remake the dreamcoat that Joseph is going to be wearing because the original one apparently didn't have enough of those Splendid colors according to the director.
Lucky: AH, I see. You've seemed to kept yourself busy since you got here.
Liz: I try. For my major, I better get all the experiences I can get! They'll come in very handy when it comes time for me to write my resume. How about you? What is this meeting with the producers tomorrow?
Lucky: Oh, that. We are just going to write down some ideas for the next album. I told them that I want to stay in school as much as I can. So we are going to try to do the recording throughout school year, and release the album, do the tours during summer vacation.
Liz: Sounds like a good idea. So are you a computer wizard now?
Lucky raised an eye brow at Liz.

Lucky: What, I wasn't before?

They both laughed.

Liz: Well, you were certainly better than anyone I knew on them. I'm perfectly happy as long as I know the basics. You know, typing the papers, that kind of stuff. Molly is like me too.
Lucky: Where is she anyway? When you opened the door you said that it was just you tonight?
Liz: Oh, Molly said she was going to be late tonight. I thought it was Nikolas at the door.
Lucky: And, My brother would want to know whether or not Molly is here because........
Liz: Well, I didn't ask them, but I think they seem to be very fond of each other. Did Nikolas tell you anything?

Lucky shook his head.

Lucky: No, he didn't. That would be something. My brother, dating a girl that belts out of a show tune every chance she gets? I wonder how Stefan is going to feel about that?

The thought of Stefan meeting Molly as Nikolas's girlfriend was such a ridicules image, it made Lucky and Liz laughed so hard, they could barely straighten themselves up afterwards.

Lucky: I'll crash at Nikolas's apartment tonight, and come see you tomorrow morning. What time is your first class?
Liz: 9 o'clock. I have two classes in the morning till 11, and then I have to go to work on some stuff at the theater.
Lucky: Well, at least we can have breakfast. Maybe I'll go with you to the theater after your classes in the morning, is that OK?
Liz: Sure, that sounds great! The only thing is....

Liz chewed on her bottom lip as Lucky awaits for her to finish the sentence.

Liz: I think some of the people there are big fans of your, you might be busy signing autographs if they see you there.........

Lucky sighed.

Lucky: You are probably right. Do they know I'm your boyfriend?
Liz: A few of them do. I don't really go around and advertising that. Even if I did, they probably wouldn't believe it anyway.
Lucky: Well, I guess I only get to take you out for breakfast then. What time should I be here?
Liz: How about 7?
Lucky: 7 it is.

Lucky looked around the room, then at the clock.

Lucky: Is it OK for me to hang around till Molly comes in or when you have to get to bed?

Liz grinned mischievously.

Liz: I thought you'd never ask.

Lucky grinned back at Liz, pulled her closer to him, and took her lips with his own.

*********************************************************************

Liz walked in the door, Molly was doing her homework at her desk, and listening to "My Fair Lady."

Liz: Did you get the message Nikolas left you?
Molly: Yeah, I did. Thanks. Oh, I already got the mail, yours is on your desk.
Liz: OK, thanks.

Liz walked over to her desk, and flipped through her mail. Molly and Nikolas had indeed started dating. They seemed like such a strange match, yet they were always happy together. Maybe Molly had brought a different kind of spirit into Nikolas's life. Liz smiled thinking how she always teased Molly that she was living every girl's dream---swept off her feet by a prince. Even thought Nikolas doesn't consider himself one, he was still the closest thing to it.
Liz drew her brows together as she looked down at the piece of mail in her hand. Her name and address was put together by letters that looked like they were cutout from different magazines or papers. Liz tore the envelope open, and took out the piece of white paper in it.

Liz: How strange...........

Her eyes grew huge when she read what was on that piece of paper.

"You can't keep him."

The letters were put together like her name and address on the envelope. Someone obviously didn't want her to see the handwriting. Liz swallowed hard while she stared at that piece of paper. Molly sensed something and lifted her head up from her homework. She looked over to Liz, and saw that her face had turned ghost white. Molly stood up, and walked over to Liz.

Molly: Are you all right? What's the matter?

Liz looked at Molly blankly, licked her lips, and folded that piece of paper in her hands.

Liz: Nothing, someone was trying to play a joke on me. That's all.
Molly: Are you sure? You don't look all right at all.

Molly put a concerned hand on Liz's shoulder, looking at her warily. Liz squeezed a smile on to her face.

Liz: I'm fine. I'm....just a little hungry. I haven't had any time to eat all day.

Molly looked somewhat relieved, she smiled.

Molly: Well, I'm starving too, Come on, lets go get something to eat!

Liz smiled back at her, put her mail back down at her desk. Both girls grabbed their coats, and went out for dinner.

The letters kept coming. Liz had received 4 of them by the time finals were near. She hadn't told anyone yet, including Lucky. She had an idea why she was getting those letters, and she couldn't bring herself to worry Lucky. The letters basically all said the same things. " I won't let you keep him," " He is ours," " You are not good enough for him."
Liz sighed, looking at the book in front of her. So this is what's like to be a heartthrob's girlfriend. She never thought she would get letters like this simply because Lucky was admired by every girl in the country, and she was the one living their dreams.

Liz: If Lucky knows about this, he's going to drop everything and come up here to protect me. I just know it! I can't let him do that.

Liz tried harder to study for her finals. She'll go back to Port Charles in two weeks. The performance ran through the week after finals. She'll be fine when she get back to Port Charles. Until then, she'll just have to hang tough.

*********************************************************************

Last night of the performance, Liz had everything packed and was ready to go the second the curtain closed. She didn't even plan on sticking around for the cast party afterwards. However, as she was finishing up a few details for that night's show, making sure all the props were on the correct side of the stage, one of the other stage techs, Angela, asked her to stay for a while to help with the strike after the show because they were shorthanded already. Liz couldn't say no to that. Normally she would have stayed anyway if weren't for all the weird letters she'd been getting. It was only going to be about one and half hour delay. She could surely wait that much longer. Liz thought to herself, yet somehow it didn't comfort her at all. Her fingers were all twisted together like the insides of her as she stood backstage waiting for the show to end.

Liz: It's going to be all right. It's going to be all right.
