In Him I live, In Him I move, In Him I have my being...

How do I begin to describe my relationship with the One who saved my life? This One I'm talking about knew me before I ever was, and redeemed me even before I knew I needed redemption. He placed the highest premium on my life, and for that reason, He paid the ultimate price for my soul.

How do I affirm my gratitude to the One who keeps loving me in spite of myself? This One has loved me with a perfect love -- despite my flaws, my shortcomings, my quirks, my passions... He loved me first and He's still loving me unconditionally. Indeed, this is a love affair that transcends my understanding. I can't comprehend His love, yet I know I can't live without His love.

How do I communicate the peace that is in my heart? I do not fret, because I know that the balance of my days is in His care. He is the Captain of my ship, the Lover of my soul, the Keeper of my heart, my Strong Deliverer, my Mighty Fortress, my Refuge & my Strength. He has been, and still remains, my very present help in times of trouble. In case you're still in the dark (literally and figuratively speaking), I'm talking about the Lord Jesus Christ, my Kinsman Redeemer and the Author and Perfecter of my faith.

Lord Jesus, there aren't enough words in the English dictionary to say thank you, but this is my humble ode to you. My prayer is that the life you've given me and the gifts you've deposited in me will encourage others to come to know you like I know you. Use me Lord, and let my life always be a testament to the redeeming power of your love.
