To those who make my world go round...
(Mi Amigos)

As I write this, I am visualizing myself on the stage at some grand theater in LA or New York, accepting an Oscar for "Writer/Director/Producer of the Year." I have thanked God, my family, my production company, my cast and crew, and I am now at that part of my acceptance speech where I must thank the people who supported me and encouraged me every step of the way. The list is long, because God has indeed blessed me with so many friends that it is impossible to list them all. However, I will make an attempt. Here is a transcript of my speech.

"...Finally, I must thank those people who have stood by me through thick and thin, those friends who have in word and in deed, proven themselves to be much more than friends, and as such have earned a place in my heart forever.

This award is dedicated to my good friends Halle Berry and Oprah Winfrey, my mentor Steven Spielberg, and to my sweetheart Boris Kodjoe for believing in me (psych!)

To Rike Oyenuga and Bose Badmus for being the best friends a cousin could ask for!
To Korede, Mobola and Lolu -- my sister-friends. Actually, they're not friends anymore, they're family. Ask them, they'll tell you it's so!
To Busola Adetula, Feyi Boroffice (nee Folowosele), Lola Tubi, Ronke Ejobe (nee Abiodun) and Funto Boroffice for always being there.
To Niyi Ojemuyiwa, who is the best guy-friend a girl could wish for. Thank you for always assuring me that I really am all that! Love you much.

It is at this point that the stage manager starts signaling frantically because my time is up and I must get off the stage. So I hurriedly say:
"And to all those I didn't mention: it's not because I forgot, it's because my time & space are limited. But you know who you are, and I love you. Once again thank you and God bless all of you. Smooches!"

And then I gracefully exit the stage, escorted by a most handsome usher. Hey, a girl is allowed to dream!

Seriously, though, this page is dedicated to all my friends. You guys know who you are, and I thank you for always being there, even when it wasn't so convenient.

And to Dozie -- thanks for all your help!
