Hello and welcome to my Danger Danger Tribute page.
Danger Danger is the greatest band to come out of the so called
"Cockrock"/"Hairmetal" explosion of the late 80's,yeah!! they had big hair and rock star poses, but they also had an awesome selection of songs which was a lot more than most of their peers at the time.
They released their dedut cd in 1989 to rave reviews all over the world, even 12 years later it still sounds as fresh and exciting as it did then, just before the release of the cd,Danger Danger lost their guitarist "Tony Rey",who left to play with his other band "Saraya",he was replaced by guitar whizkid "Andy Timmons" who re-recorded two solo's(Saturday Nite & Boys Will Be Boys") just prior to it's release.
Two years later and Danger Danger released their 2nd cd "Screw It",now this was a slightly different sound for the band with Kasey Smith's keyboards being pushed back a lot more in the mix and a more aggressive guitar sound at the helm of the Album,"Screw It" produced two minor hit singles for the band(Monkey Business & I Still Think About You) and European tour with Kiss, they recieved quite a bit of press here in the UK,even though most of it lampooned their highly sexually charged lyrics.
I got to see Danger Danger support Kiss in Glasgow on that tour and had the pleasure of meeting the guys at a record store signing, the gig totally blew me away, they really looked comfortable on the big stage and gave an excellent performance,i really thought that Danger Danger were heading for the big time.
In 1993 the band recorded their 3rd cd titled "Cockroach" but prior to it's release singer "Ted Poley" left the band, this came as a real shock as the band always seemed to get along so well,Ted was replaced by Canadian solo artist "Paul Laine who re-recorded the vocal tracks,Ted then filed a law suit against the band and this left the band tied up in legal bullshit for years and "Cockroach" was shelved, never to get released.
In 1995 "Dawn" was released, this release saw only "Steve West" "Bruno Ravel" & "Paul Laine" left in the band and marked a totally different style to Danger Danger's sound,it's grunge tinged sound didnt go down well with the fans or critics.
Then in 1997 Danger Danger finally got their shit together and reverted to the sound that had made them so popular in the first place, they released "4 The Hard Way" to rave reviews the world over and saw the return of "Andy Timmons" "Kasey Smith" & "Tony Rey" as special guest players,it's an awesome cd and has 4 tracks from the unreleased "Cockroach" cd re-recorded and given a spruce up,Danger Danger were back and sounding better than ever!!.
The new Millenium brought another new Danger Danger cd in the form of "The Return Of The Great Guildersleeves",once again with "Bruno" at the helm as super producer,it's a stunning cd with catchy as hell songs and an awesome production.
The band are kinda in limbo at the moment with both Steve & Bruno concentrating on their new production company, lets just hope that they continue to bless us with new Danger Danger music on a regular basis.
