"Strange Hours" !!

1999 September 22

NEW RECOIL ALBUM - Release date set.

The new Recoil album will be entitled 'Liquid' and has been set for release in February 2000. A single will precede the L.P. on or around January 31st. There is the possiblity of an enhanced CD to include Recoil videos is currently being researched.

'Liquid', written and produced by Alan with additional production and sound design by PK, features nine new tracks and vocal contributions from fellow Mute artist Diamanda Galás, New York performers Nicole Blackman and Samantha Coerbell, gospel singers The Golden Gate Jubilee Quartet and Recoil fan and poet, Rosa M.Torras.

Aditional musicians are Curve's Dean Garcia (additional bass) and Steven Monty (drums), Merlin Rhys-Jones (guitars) from Ian Dury's 'Blockheads' and Hepzibah Sessa (violin, backing vocals).

The GREAT! news is, the new RECOIL album is close to completion
and inroads have been made with new artwork. There are some plans
about releasing new single in the end of the summer.

Alan Wilder sayd that in his new studio album will be included
one or two instrumental pieces !

Now Alan Wilder working with new material in his own studio "Thin Line". There are some rumours that new single of Recoil will be released at the end of 1999. It will be the 5 Recoil album since 1986 and the second album recorded in his studio "Thin Line". Alan Wilder ignores all the questions about guest singers in his new album and keeps they names in secret. Alan says that he try to make the album very different from his previous releases "Bloodline" & "Unsound Methods".
