NEWS
8/11/99: 'N Sync recently recorded a track with Babyface for the "Light it Up" soundtrack.

The guys will be performing "God Must Have Spent" with Alabama for the Country Music Awards, which will air on CBS September 22.

Tomorrow night, 'N Sync and Gloria Estefan will be performing "Music of My Heart" on the Teen Choice Awards. 'N Sync also won the award for best CD.

8/06/99: Music of My Heart is scheduled to premiere either Wednesday or Thursday, I'm not sure which.

Next Thursday 'N Sync and Gloria Estefan will be performing Music of My Heart on the Teen Awards, which will be shown on FOX.

Justin's tattoo, which is the Chinese symbol for music, is located on his leg. It is on the same spot as his flame, but on the other leg. (This isn't verified, it's just something I've heard.)

'N Sync will perform on the Miss Teen USA awards on August 24 on CBS.

The release of 'N Sync's home video, which was originally scheduled to be in September, has been pushed back to late November, to coincide with the release of their CD.

Here's the latest on 'N Sync's cancelled and rescheduled tour dates:
11/26-Las Vegas, NV @ MGM Grand Garden (formerly 9/17)
11/27-Las Vegas, NV @ MGM Grand Garden (formerly 9/18)
11/28-Reno, NV @ Lawlor Events Center (formerly 9/16)
11/29-Oakland, CA @ Oakland, Arena (formerly 9/15)
11/30-Sacramento, CA @ ARCO Arena (formerly 9/14)
12/3-Fargo, ND @ Fargodome (new date)

8/03/99:
'N Sync has postponed two concerts: September 16th's Reno, NV concert is rescheduled for November 28, and September 17th's Sacramento, CA concert is rescheduled for November 30th. Their September 15th Concord, CA performance has been cancelled and they will instead add an Oakland, CA concert on November 28th.

'N Sync's second album, No Strings Attached, is now scheduled to be released November 29th, instead of November 16th.

Chris Kirkpatrick is going to be the Grand Marshall of Clarion, PA's Autumn Leaf Festival Bell Atlantic Grand Parade. Tickets for seats along the parade route will be $4 each, and there will be no concert.

7/30/99:
'N Sync has been nominated for 3 MTV Video Music Awards! They're nominated in the following categories:
Viewers Choice: Tearin' Up My Heart
Best Pop Video: Tearin' Up My Heart
Best Group Video: Tearin' Up My Heart

In my opinion, if any of their videos DIDN'T deserve to be nominated for awards, it would be Tearin' Up My Heart. If you have any opinions about this, post them on my message board, I'd like to know your opinions about this.

I'm not SURE about this one, but I've heard that 'N Sync's new CD, "No Strings Attached", is going to be a double CD, which means that it could have up to 30 songs on it!

7/19/99:
Today it was announced on TRL that 'N Sync's new album will be out on November 16, and will be titled "No Strings Attached". Much better guys!

A new 'N Sync video will be in stores on September 28, and will include clips from them recording their CD in the studios.

I'm not sure about this, but apparently Justin has a new tattoo, which is the Japanese symbol for music.

Although the official end of 'N Sync's tour is September 4, they will still play at MGM Grand in Las Vegas on September 17th and 18th, due to lawsuit threats from MGM Grand.

MOVIE NEWS!:
In the upcoming movie, "Jack Of All Trades", Joey and JC are playing pizza makers, Chris will be a klepto, who steals pizza and utensils off of Alexis' (the main characer's) table, and Lance is a passenger on a plane with Britney Spears, who will be a stewardess. There's no word yet on who Justin will be playing.

In addition to JC's independent collaboration with Blaque, he will also sing on Trey D's upcoming debut.

7/13/99:
There are rumors that the title of 'N Sync's new album, due out October 26, will be titled either Street or 20th Century. Personally, I think they're both bad names. For one thing, Street makes absolutely no sense. Plus, both names can be used against 'N Sync as yet another way they have supposedly "copied" the BSB, although we know it's not true. If you don't see what I am talking about, Street vs. BackSTREET Boys, or 20th Century vs. Millenium. I just think it's a bad idea. Moving on...

Some songs that MIGHT be on the CD (remember, Lance said they've recorded 30) include "Just Got Paid", "This Is Where The Party's At", "It's A Love Thing" (cover version), "That's When I'll Stop Loving You", "The Whispers", and "Brighter Side of Darkness".

'N Sync will have a new book out soon, called *NSIDE *NSYNC. It is a hard cover, 144 page book, with over 200 exclusive pictures, and will retail at about $25.

7/10/99:
Chris and his company, FuMan Skeeto, are now going to be managing and producing for up-and-coming groups. Way to go Chris!

I have the information about how the new concerts open, and what they're like. I don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone who doesn't want to know, so if you want me to tell you, just
E-Mail me!

According to Lance, 'N Sync has already recorded 30 songs for their new album. Obviously, only some of the songs will be used.

The official 'N Sync website now has a section called 'N Touch, where a reporter, Melinda, gives behind the scenes info about the tour and their projects. Lance and Justin are supposed to write something up there sometime this week, so keep checking back for that at
www.nsync.com

In Wednesday's chat with Dax and Emily (a link to the transcript is on the main page), Emily announced that Cassiopeia and 'N Sync are going to do a video together. The song is called "Because We Care" and it was written by Dax. Both groups are supposedly going to be outfitted in FuMan Skeeto gear for the video.

7/07/99:
More news about the movie: It stars Tony DeCamillis, who plays a twentysomething tennis instructor who gets wrapped up in a scheme involving seduction and insider trading. THe cast includes Paul Sorvino, Hunter Tylo, Antonio Sabato Jr., Danielle Fishel, and Gilbert Gottfried. Some of the music groups are performing, and some are playing characters, but we'll have to see the movie to find out.

Lance and Justin were at a Britney Spears concert in Tampa on June 29th, and were seen dancing around backstage while her songs were playing. (Both of the above stories are from You Got It! An 'N Sync Website)

6/27/99:
'N Sync's collaboration with Gloria Estefan will start airing on radio stations in July. The song is called "The Music Of My Heart" and it is the title song for the movie, also called "The Music Of My Heart." The soundtrack for the film will be released Sept. 14.

6/23/99:
Lance broke up with Danielle! He announced it in the Zoog Disney chat on Monday. He also said that Justin is NOT dating Britney, but they're best friends, and Lance is going to have a solo on the new album! Way to go, Lance. Unfortunately, he said it won't be out until November. Read the entire transcript HERE!

6/22/99:
Cassiopeia now has an official website! Check it out, they have the girls bios and pictures. Or you can go to their message board, Cassiopeia's Corner, and show your support for them.

6/16/99:
Okay, here's an article about Mr. Sellout himself, Lou Pearlman:

(LOS ANGELES)-Louis J. Pearlman's Trans Continental Records, founder of bands Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync, has created Trans Continental pictures. Shooting has begun in Los Angeles on its first production, comedy-drama "Jack of All Trades." "Jack," directed by Lionel C. Martin ("How to Be a Player"), will feature acting cameos and musical appearances by Trans Continental artists such as 'N Sync, pop sensation Britney Spears, Take 5, Lyte Funky Ones (LFO), C-Note, Innosense, and Solid Harmonie. "We've been told before we were crazy, like when we decided to start up the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync, so we're continuing that crazy mode with a feature film division," said Pearlman, Trans Continental's CEO. "Being that this is all entertainment, we thought it would be a natural progression from music to movies, giving our artists exposure on the big screen." (The Hollywood Reporter)

6/10/99:
Big new announcement from Dax:

"Okay, I guess you've all been driven up the wall for long enough. The name of the group I am writing and producing with is...Cassiopeia!
There is a double 'N Sync connection...Chris' sister Emily is one of the 5 members in the group, and his mother, Bev, is involved in managing and vocal coaching them as well...actually, now with my involvement, there's a triple 'N Sync connection.
Right now we're still in the process of writing and selecting songs. These five girls are very talented, and I'm sure you're going to be hearing much more about them in the near future.
Bye for now,
Dax"

6/07/99:
Okay guys, what's the deal? I have another band member retirement to announce. Mitch, 'N Sync's flute/drum/saxophone player is retiring from the group. Everybody keep him in your prayers and wish him luck in the future! He was another one of the original members, as was Dax, and he will be greatly missed.

I recently bought Alabama's remake single of God Must Have Spent... The guys hardly sing on it, and although it is okay sounding, it's not worth the $3 dollars I paid for it. Guess I'm just not a big Alabama fan...

From the 'N Sync website:
"Ok all you die hard NSYNC fans out there, whaat's this we hear that Carson Daly reports on MTV Total Request Live that the Backstreet Boys are the BEST boy band? We know better than that, NSYNC is #1! So don't be shy..tell MTV that NSYNC is the BEST boy band. Come on, you know it's true, so share your opinion, NSYNC is the BEST!!!"
Everybody go voice your opinion at
MTV's Website!

6/05/99:
Everybody needs to vote for Tatyana Ali's new video, Everytime on TRL. It has clilps of 'N Sync, B*witched, and Will Smith. You can also see Chris puppy, Busta! I haven't seen this video yet, I've only heard of it, but vote for it!

5/27/99:
Dax, 'N SYNC's well-known keyboardist, made a special announcement today. It appears below:

Hi everyone,
I have some news for all of you, and I guess the best way is to just tell you outright: I have resigned my position as a keyboardist in the 'N Sync band. It was a very difficult decision for me, and not one that I came to easily. I'm leaving the tour to devote more time to songwriting, produding, recording...and hopefully to finish school eventually. As some of you know, I've been offered the opportunity to work with Jude Cole (a great singer/songwriter and one of my main musical inspirations) on his upcoming new album. The time frame for that project interferes with the summer 'N Sync tour. My decision to leave the group was even more difficult personally than professionally. JC, Lance, Chris, Justin, and Joey...I'm proud to call these five guys my friends. I will miss working with them more than even I knkow. We've spent nearly two years together. As one of the original members of the first 'N Sync band, I was just 19 when we went to Germany for the first "live band" tour. It's been great doing the shows, seeing different parts of the country and meeting so many of you guys. I don't mind continuing to answer questions about my experiences with 'N Sync, but I can't help you out with tour dates and schedules anymore, sorry! I have some really exciting projects coming up, and I hope you'll check back here once in a while to see what's going on. Thanks for all your support and friendship.

God bless,
Dax

Well, I just found out about Dax a couple months ago, and he's a great person. He runs THE BEST 'N SYNC message board I've ever seen, considering he knows all of the background info about the group, and he has posted News From the Road updates since 'N Sync started touring in the U.S. Dax will be greatly missed, and we wish him all the best in the future. Good Luck!
