Reyna Marroquin
1941-1969
"Rest in peace always"
Ms. Reyna Marroquin was a humble Salvadorean immigrant who came to the U.S. to better herself and her family.  Her dream was to become a fashion designer.  So, she took classes in English and U.S. Citizenship courses by day, worked at the flower plastic factory at night. She's a very beautiful, smart, and hardworking young woman.  For three years during her stay in the U.S., she regularly wrote to her family detailing her new life in the new country.  She loves the arts and frequently take advantage of her free time visiting art museums in New York City.  She also was in love with Howard Elkins, who was also her boss.  At first, the love affair was innocent.  Little did she know that he was a married man with a wife and three kids ensconced in the L.I. suburb of Jericho, N.Y.  She thought she landed a prince, but the "prince" had no intentions of divorcing his wife.  When she found out she was pregnant, he set her up an apartment and personal doctor in a New Jersey suburb. When she told his wife about the affair, her boyfriend was furious and have threatened to take her life if she reveal more about the affair to his wife.  She called her confidante telling her about the affair and the threats she received from her boyfriend. She was murdered by Mr. Elkins in late 1969.  He put her body in a barrel and left it in the house for 30 years until a new homeowner moved in and found out the gruesome secret Mr. Elkins kept for over 30 years.
