In memory of this beautiful young flower taken from this world too soon. Her name was inspired by poet Calvancanti's lady who preceded Beatrice, Dante's love, the lovely Giovanna Primavera, a fitting name for this princess Shawna Denise Hawk who was murdered by a sadistic madman who was also responsible for the murders of nine other young Black ladies in Charlotte between 1992 and 1994. He's currently sitting on death row.
Miss Shawna Denise Hawk was born on December 2, 1972. Shawna is the feminine form of John, whom she was named after the forunner of our savior, Jesus Christ. Denise is her mother's middle name. May this sweet young flower rest in peace.
