B.D. Wong BiographyB.D. Wong Biography

As far as I know, there is not an offical B.D. Wong biography. I will only be posting information that has been posted on public sites or other forms of media. As I do not know B.D. Wong personally, I'd take this information (or most of it) with a grain of salt, because I've come to find that information found on the internet is not always reliable. I'll quit rambling now. :-) You can view the information I found on The Internet Movie Database here.

Other Info

He is the only actor to be honored with the Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, Clarence Derwent Award, and Theater World Award for the same performance (for his starring role in "M. Butterfly").

This is mostly just speculation on mart part, but this is what I've gathered through various interviews on the subject of "B.D." and what it stands for:
B.D. started using these initials when he was in "M. Butterfly" so that the audience wouldn't know if the identity of his character was male or female. He became well known for this part (see above), and I guess he just decided to use it professionally as well as in his private life. I remember him saying in an interview something about how his parents are the only ones that can get away with calling him by his given name :-) Sometimes he is credited as Bradd Wong (such as in The Karate Kid 2, but I don't know if that's where the "B" in "B.D." comes from.
If you know something to the contrary, or know that what I have said is true, let me know, because I don't want to have a bunch of rumors on this site.
